Ciao a tutti condivido questo link ottimamente realizzato e utile a chiunque come me è da poco nel tunnel della fotografia naturalistica, magari in molti lo conosceranno già ma io l ho trovato x caso e mi sembra ben fatto....

Penso sia interessante approfondire l'uso del flash in avifauna. Qualcuno usa i better beamer o ci sono altre valide alternative?

Stefano,io ho usato molte volte il flash in avifauna.adesso ho comprato il better beamer ma non l'ho ancora ben collaudato.come flash uso un potente metz58 ma usato ad altre velocità e diaframmi chiusi la potenza crolla miseramente.per questo serve il better beamer che fa guadagnare un paio di stop.
nb.non serve sui soggetti sotto i 5mt anzi suppongo che sia peggiorativo.

Ti ringrazio per la riposta Steff, quindi sotto i 5m dici che è sufficiente un semplice diffusore? Chiaramente il flash che userei ha HSS quindi posso usarlo anche con tempi veloci.

Altra cosa, con un 300mm f/4 si può lasciare il flash sulla slitta o bisogna spostarlo in avanti sul paraluce dell'obiettivo?

Ciao,mai montato sul diffusore ma ci sto pensando...lo monto sul corpo quando sono itinerante ma in molti casi da fastidio,tipo da auto o coperto con un telo.
In questi casi farebbe comodo sul paraluce.da capanno invece lo monto su slitta laterale che si collega alla parte inferiore del corpo e quindi il flash si trova parallelo e laterale al corpo.anche questa è una soluzione di compromesso ma usabile in capanno fisso.
Hss è necessario.magari compensi l esposizione chiudendo o aprendo il diaframma

Presente, uso, o almeno ho iniziato a usare il flash in naturalistica praticamente sempre o quasi, tranne in condizioni di luce ottimale, lo uso liscio, con diffusore e con il better beamer che aumenta effettivamente fino a 2 stop la potenza.
Confermo che il better beamer sotto i 5 metri non serve, quanto invece il diffusore per creare una luce più morbida in generale.
