concordo con Maurice e mi domando dove stia la gabola, considerando che quelli citati sono comunque dati di laboratorio e NON parlano di 400 mm. Visionari anche loro?ai posteri l'ardua sentenza MrGreen

Sbaglio o i grafici MTF sembrerebbero denotare una maggiore nitidezza (anche in combinazione con l'extender Canon 1.4 III) del nuovo pompone rispetto al mitico Canon 400 5.6 L?
Poi bisognerà valutare anche la velocità dell'AF...

Ho notato che hanno ridotto ulteriormente la distanza minima di maf, con lo stabilizzatore nuovo sarà una manna per le macro a mano libera! Cool

Sono anche curioso di vedere lo sfocato...

Avessi saputo che usciva probabilmente non avrei preso il 300 nuovo per vedere come rende e prendere poi solo quello. Se fosse anche solo come il 400 5.6 a 400mm sarebbe perfetto... e magari il 300 lo rivendo pure

Guido non credo che il 300mm f/2,8 II sia minimamente paragonabile al nuovo 100-400mm, io l'ho provato sia liscio che moltiplicato e credo che sia una delle migliori lenti che abbiano mai fatto, superveloce e ipermeganitido! Dubito fortemente che il nuovo 100-400mm sia tale, ma se come giustamente dici fosse nitido a 400mm come il f/5,6 fisso sarebbe comunque una grande ottica! Anch'io stavo valutando di prenderlo e sostituire il vecchio 100-400mm e il 300mm f/4 che ho attualmente...

Il fatto è che avere uno zoom può fare la differenza spesso fra portare a casa una grande foto o una foto mediocre. Con buona pace di tutte le pippe mentali dell ingrandimento al 100% del passero fotografato in oasi col 600 duplicato
