Pros: Sharpness, color rendering, three-dimensionality, construction.

Cons: Zoom system with pump, weight, tropicalization.

Opinion: It's a lens with special features, starting from the "pump" system to adjust the zoom, Zeiss's quality is therefore indisputable, like the quality of the "glasses" 16 elements in 13 groups, the one that is amazing is the rendering of the colors , And the stunning three-dimensional image of the classic Zeiss lens (using it on Canon 5D MKII). The colors are not as cold as sometimes you hear in the many reviews, nothing else ...! Sharpness is a wonderful cut in contrasts, even in situations at the limit. It is not particularly bright, in fact, this forces an ISO increase when you do not have a tripod, the weight is felt (almost 800 gr.) !! And the microregion is always lurking, so the use of the tripod in my opinion is the only solution especially in the landscapes and in the photos of architecture. A TA vignette enough, problem disappearing af / 5.6. If you consider the age of thisGoal beyond the fact that it does not have AF and really remarkable weight, there remains a zoom that from a point to today's goals in many cases better than high-end lenses such as Canon's L series.
