Pros: Very good performance/price ratio, good overall performance.

Cons: At the price I paid nothing.

Opinion: Bought used by RCE Foto like new, with 2 years warranty at 100 euros including shipping costs. I am very satisfied with the use I am making of it on a Canon 7D. I fully agree with IvanIlTerribile's review of a few years ago. I only add the absolute necessity of always using its dedicated ET-65III lens hood under penalty of obvious diffusion of light even in light backlight conditions. This applies to all photographic lenses (including Zeiss) but in this case it is even more true. Used properly, it gives splendid images for any "normal" amateur photographer (certainly not for the super demanding).

Pros: Solid, full-time MF, used price, great blur, precise AF.

Cons: AF slow, a bit soft at TA.

Opinion: It is a lens that I bought 80 euros used, practically a third of the Canon counterpart (always used). It allowed me to delve into the genre of portraiture, spending little. It is definitely not a blade, a TA is a little soft. Personally, I am not very interested in this aspect. However, others may prefer sharper lenses. The very wide aperture and focal length give a considerable blur. I was impressed with the construction. The plastic is good, and the front as well as the bayonet are made of metal. The MF bezel is fluid and precise, and poses the right resistance. The autofocus is slow and noisy, but it is also very accurate. It is a great optics for the low price at which you can find it used. I would not recommend it new, since adding something could access the Canon counterpart (used), with better autofocus and higher image quality. I update the review to say that the lens works perfectly with both the Canon EOS-1N, and the 40D.

Pros: Construction, yield, brightness

Cons: Maybe a little soft but recoverable in PP

Opinion: A sweet surprise! Very satisfied, considering also the price. The AF is not very fast but for fashion shots or portraits do not feel the need. The lens looks sturdy, weight and acceptable dimensions for those who like me prefer to travel light. I Was a little hesitant and scared after reading some reviews, instead if you understand how to Domesticarlo I think it's a decent lens.

Pros: construction looks good, acceptable plastics.

Cons: sharpness.

Opinion: Paid 150 euros on Ebay the sharpness leaves something to be desired for the rest is a discreet goal but not with great pretensions. It looks good, the plastics I expected worse but they are fine. The acceptable sharpness comes to F2.8, but then I expected it because of the really affordable price. Suitable for those who do not want to spend a lot.
