Opinion: I would say good value for a money. Sharpness is roughly on the level of Nikon 50mm f1.8G. At f2 Yongnuo is much better, at f2.8 they are equal, but at f=5.6 Nikon strikes back. Both have slow AF, but Nikon 50mm f1.8G is not noisy. Lens has an old school contrast, it depends on taste, it might be pros and cons as well. Anyway, iot is something what might be treated in postprocessing easily. If you don?t have money for superb Sigma 50mm f1.4 Art, Yongnuo 50mm f1.4 is reasonable choice.

Pros: Not expensive, great focus on Live view, F1.4, well build, USB for firmware update, Auto focus (Slow, but Auto Focus), when used with flash the sharpen is really well (perfect most of the time).

Cons: Sometime chromatic aberration on white surfaces at low F, Slow and noisy focus (but focus well), sometime focus using the viewfinder is not exact.

Opinion: I am still testing the lens (Nikon version), and I am happy with the result I have gotten. for now I can recommend it. It is necessary to know that for the price (mine $174.99 on Amazon, with a kit that include: 3 filters, Hood, pouch, cap cord) it is a great investment. I recommend to use it on live view, that's how I have obtained the better results, I will continue testing the lens and will update if necessary. I am using the Nikon D800 on the test.

Pros: Build Quality, Aesthetics, bokeh

Cons: Evident chromatic Aberrations, to be careful with the dust

Opinion: I bought it on ebay at about 130 euros to replace the now dated 50mm f 1.8 canon. I Felt good right from the start.. I enjoyed the build quality on the fly, you feel it is a little pesantino, but I don't consider it a fault... Connected to the camera is really good and the scales enough; Not being very long the weight doesn't fall outside that much. Autofocus quite accurate, a little noisy, but has some difficulty in low light conditions. Returns beautiful images but to TA the chromatic aberrations especially on white surfaces are noted enough but at the same time the bokeh is very pleasant. Other Neo.. I try to keep it always guarded because after a while I immediately entered the dust inside the lenses. For the rest I recommend it.
