Pros: Sharpness, low aberrations, moderate vignetting, negligible distortion, size, deeply recessed front lens

Cons: Overcorrected spherical aberration near infinity results in ring-shaped bokeh (on spots) or double edging

Opinion: Very clean and natural rendering, high microcontrast (the 23/1.2 by the same brand looks muddy in comparison). Somehow evokes the Zeiss milvus 50/2 macro. My only complaint is the bokeh: quite good at short distances, but with a tendency to double edging at long distances. Still, this lens can be recommended for general photography. I especially like the deeply recessed front lens: it is well protected, even without lens shade (which is included in the box). I'd rate it 9.5/10. No need to mention the manufacturing quality (it is a Cosina/Voigtländer) and the excellent focussing action (long throw though).
