And who expected it, from a negligible cost a robust and flawless performance. I also tried it on Z8, in DX mode, and even on its sensor it showed an efficiency on distortion and sharpness that I did not expect. The same 14-24 at the minimum focal length has difficulty at the edges, the small 9 mm in comparison plays on an equal footing. Absolutely rated 10 !!!

Opinion: A respectable lens in relation to the cost; with € 200 you take home a nice wide angle equivalent to 13.5mm on FF. Tried with the Z50II, on the road, I fell in love with it. A light and space-saving combination that allows you to take home excellent sharp shots with good color rendering. The only complaint is the resistance to flare but it can be safely overlooked given the low cost of this lens. The plasticky lens hood is also included, however, it does its job and attaches quite well. A lens that I highly recommend, well done Viltrox.

Opinion: I'm a fan of super-wide-angle lenses and, over the years, I've spent a good amount of money to buy them. I have had and used sigma, tamron and tokina and I have to say that none have the quality of this small and cheap Viltrox. It may seem impossible but with a figure of around 200 euros you can have a sharp 9 mm with a respectable aperture (2.8). Surely there are some features that allow it to have a lower cost (and by a lot) than the many other super wide-angle cameras on the market. First of all is that it is not a zoom, but anyway (we all know) supergrandongali zooms are almost always used at the widest focal length. The absence of the zoom also made the design easier to the point of ensuring almost no distortion. It lacks stabilization, but even if many purists will certainly find some reason to criticize this "lack" I would assure you that at 9 mm the stabilizer is completely useless. I use it daily and appreciate its focusing speed, aesthetics, optical and build quality. I rate it with a full 10.
