Pros: Small and lightweight (not like Samyang or Irix), can use screw on filters, focus scale imprinted, focus to infinity adjustment calibration, aperture ring, quality build, nice sunstars, beautiful color rendition, distortion correction is good, but not as marketing claimed to be zero distortion, smooth focus and aperture rings movement, pretty close focusing. No visible vignetting with in camera applied vignetting correction.

Cons: Visible CA shooting in direct sunlight, quite long travel focus ring from close focus to infinity - good for video, bad for focus stacking (need more then usual 5 focus stacking images), Not really sharp lens - 7/10, micro sharpness factory calibration issue ( had 2 version of this lens and both were not sharp at infinity), bit over under and over exposed tones with one stop compered with other lenses.

Opinion: I was quite impressed of size this lens for DSLR body - its bloody tiny, i would say it is more balanced for mirrorless but its miracle that in this age there are lens made for DSLR. Yeaah !! \m/ I own Tamron 17-35mm f2.8-4 Di version lens and i needed sometimes bit wider then 17mm, even i had sigma 14-24mm but that one was monster lens and 'back killer' so i got rid of it and when Loawa announces this tiny miracle for DSLR system, i instantly lied eye on it. Its basically size of nifty-fifty lens :D F4 lens is great for daily wide angle scenes, enhancing foreground and fitting big subjects into frame. It don't have big front element glass so can use screw on filters and its pretty lightweight, where you cant do on most 14mm lenses. Distortion looks good, but with some additional correction can reach zero distortion level :) Its Aspheric lens so horizon its not curved but pretty flat. Well done Loawa ;) Lens flairs are ok, but fixable in post. My biggest issue is focusing on DSLR and how lack of sharpness is on infinity. Its quite disappointing and frustrating. On mirrorless there is focus assistant with zones where you see what is in focus, but on DSLR you trust live view with zooming in and how good is your eyesight. I got second version of this lens and i thought it was kind of manufacture issue of micro focusing to infinity calibration , but in second version was the same situation that made me think its just the way how this lens is made. Unfortunately had to return both copies of the lens. So i would recommend use this one on mirrorless system, even size its tiny so with FTZ adapter this lens on mirrorless body would feel like its made for mirrorless :D In general this lens packed with lots of futures for such a small body and reasonable price. I think its winner even that is version for DSLR. I will use it for big scenes where i need to show interesting foreground, fit huge subject or need strong distortion correction such as architecture or urban landscape photography. It just pity that i got both versions of this lens lacking sharpness that would have been great addition for me lens collection. I would highly advice to run some tests to to see if your lens is sharp at the infinity and compare sharpness results with similar lens.

Pros: Sharpness, compactness, filter thread Ø67mm, ƒ/n transmitted on EXIF

Cons: at the moment none

Opinion: Very welcome lens for those who still own the full frame SLR, make landscape or architecture and do not want to find themselves choosing the classic samyang or voightlander or other older lenses or simply limiting in dedicated accessories. You can mount the classic filters without giant systems that, in addition to being uncomfortable, act as a sail on windy days causing micro-stir or, at worst, the equipment on the ground. Finishes worthy of the most renowned lens manufacturers, possibility of focusing from 14.5 cm (and not only ...) The lens is definitely for daytime landscapes and architecture (I would say more internal than imposing exterior, where a tilt-shift works better) but also remarkable for night especially with special multi-exposure techniques but also single-shot with performing camera bodies. I have had the optics for a few months, I plan to review and possibly confirm this review but to date it is all tested and fully functional!
