The only negative note is the decidedly poor quality and poor quality lens hood and that I promptly replaced with a screwed rubber lens hood that is certainly better than the original and that helps a lot to the flare that in certain light situations could be present. To tell the truth, I already used it a lot with day and night light, I didn't notice obvious flare... it appeared to me instead with UV filter even if of excellent quality.
