Pros: Easy to use, well-adjustable focus range, solid construction.

Cons: The lens hood is not included as standard.

Opinion: A very fun lens. Wide open it's sharper than the original Biotar. Of course you have to fight for the swirling bokeh. You can take really fabulous pictures with a wide aperture, but the center is not particularly sharp either. It really gets sharp in the center above f2, and the bokeh is more distinctive at that point. It is definitely recommended to screw on a lens hood, both to reduce glare and loss of contrast, and to physically protect the front lens.
