Pros: Read speed, write speed, cheaper than Sandisk
Cons: None.
Opinion: Sandisk has had their 280mbs read/250mbs write for a while now and it has been prohibitively expensive, at around 100 pounds sterling. Lexar have their 2000x version, cheaper than the Sandisk but with a vague unstated write speed (probably up to half that of its amazing 300mbs read rating). Cheaper than the Lexar even is this brand new Transcend - the top speeds are a little less, though the all important write speed is probably about that of the Lexar and when Amazon UK had the 32gb at under 35 pounds sterling, I ordered one. My ageing Nikon D7000 probably will never be able to get the best out the huge potential of this card but I do hope to upgrade the camera within a year. The card size makes it ideal for those occasions and events which might require long and fast sequences on high 'drive' without buffering. I've ran a few hundred images through it so far and it's downloading which really makes a difference - an average day's shoot can be on your PC within seconds. So, probably an unnecessary purchase considering I now have a number of different cards now, including my favourite R85/W60mbs Transcends that are cheap and extremely reliable that I will now use as back-up in the second card slot, but a rewarding one, buying the latest product at a price that isn't so much higher than top end cards of only a short while ago.
