Pros: Long excursion, Tropicalization, stabilization as VC version

Cons: Dark but you know....

Opinion: and 'my first all-rounder lens to equip my Nikon D7200, used a lot both outside and inside for parties or birthdays, there were circumstances that forced me to use the Godox 860III (n), to avoid direct flash ..... But rest assured that if you want to make a good portrait make sure that the environment is well lit....

Pros: Focal range, stabilizer

Cons: Sharpness, construction, dark but you know

Opinion: Taken used in impeccable condition at 70€ in view of a trip abroad... like many we try to bring with them as little kit as possible. His work we say ... it does!.. in the sense that the focal excursion allows you to shoot from the street to the farthest detail ... colors a bit '"pasty".. sharpness from a new lens that costs less than 200 €.. that is claimed!!? Lightweight... maybe too much... from the feeling of being truly fragile. Valid and effective stabilizer. Ultimately.. I thought I had to get rid of it quickly instead for travel I consider it a good companion .. but that's all.. if you want to take home memories of the holiday can be a good purchase, if you want the exceptional photo leave it in the store.

Pros: Price

Cons: disre lit

Opinion: I bought this optics (used) to go beyond the 55 mm of the lens in kit and with the idea of having an all-do light and versatile: I realized after a few months that it had not been a perfect choice and I sold it to replace it with the 55-250 mm, which is the natural continuation of the 18-55 mm. This lens is disre lit and makes you realize that the beauty of the reflex is to have a lens for every occasion. Good thing is that it is sold with the standard lampshade.

Pros: Versatility, price

Cons: Sharpness, AF, inbright, stabilizer

Opinion: The classic bottle bottom. This lens is just the perfect example to understand that if you buy a reflex/mirrorless (interchangeable goal) you have to put in to account to spend money on goals, otherwise better buy a compact. Some time ago I decided to buy this optics to match my eos 1300 d, never chosen was more wrong. I'm just telling you that the 18-55 kit is much sharper, more responsive. This lens has as pro only the focal excursion, otherwise it is really bad in everything. Bad sharpness to all focal points and all diaphragms (at TA the RAW file is truly unwatchable), built very badly (all plastic, including bayonet), and also suffers from chromatic aberration. Distortion quite accentuated, but with this focal excursion you put it into account. If you want a lens to start with which to experiment all the focal points less than 200 ok, otherwise leave it alone.

Pros: Focal Range, AF speed, build quality, 10 year warranty

Cons: Sharpness, AF efficacy with low contrast, chromatic aberrations, low brightness, little effective stabilizer

Opinion: I purchased this lens in the store at €235 in anticipation of a trip overseas, to try to make a light trip, with only one SLR and one lens mounted. The first thing that jumps to the eye is the enormous versatility that can offer a focal range of the genre, passing from a discreet wide angle to a tele quite important. From the focal point of view, therefore, I find the 18-200 absolutely complete if the need is just to travel with one lens or simply if you want to start with photography and want to better understand which focal you prefer to use, then maybe Aim at higher performing objectives (fixed or zoom, depending on the quality/price you want to achieve). Conversely, as it is also normal for a superzoom like this, the optical quality for strength suffers, showing loss of sharpness that already from the 80-100mm are visible and worsen gradually up to 200. Even the chromatic aberrations, particularly with the very contrasting scenes, appear particularly evident. The Autofocus has an acceptable speed, not as fast as a USM but not as slow as the traditional Tamron AF (see that of the 17-50); My specimen has no problems of front/back focus offering a very high precision, even if sometimes, in scenes poorly contrastate, it is a lot of effort to fuocheggiare, forcing the manual focus. I Add that the excursion of the MF ring is not too high, so it takes some dexterity to peck the perfect fire in manual; Finally, the focus is internal, so it does not rotate the front lens, for the benefit of using a circular polarizing filter. The overall build quality, given the price, does not seem bad at all: although it is probably all plastic returns the same a feeling of robustness and for now I do not highlight games or pieces "shaky". Very nice Aesthetics, worded only by the dust that tends to accumulate visibly on the rubberized ring of the zoom, being very wide. The Lens hood, as in all Tamron lenses, is supplied. Available at the moment, Polyphoto warranty 10 years. Just bought at the beginning I was sick, too disappointed by the optical quality that does not even in the slightest competes with the other lenses I had (especially with the fixed or even the Tamron 17-50 smooth). But Then I decided to continue photographing without worrying about the quality, but simply... Photographing. And there I was able to fully appreciate the strength of this lens, which allows you to eliminate-perhaps almost completely-the time factor/hassle/encumbrance of carrying around and replace other objectives, which would risk blocking in starting a particular Shot. Once we have entered into this type of reasoning, I believe that this is a lens from which the maximum was pulled out, maintaining a low price, so I recommend the purchase.
