Pros: Price, image quality at ISO 100, weight and size

Cons: Yield over 200 ISO, battery life, small viewfinder, sensor easy to get dirty

Opinion: My first digital reflex, bought because it cost much less than an equivalent Nikon or Canon. Its strong point is the image quality that its CCD churns out if there is good light; detailed images full of contrast and color that the next series of SLTs dreams of. Outdoors he took photos of me that ended up in the NY Times, just to say. Defects: well it's easy. It is a very plasticky super-cheap and with very few controls, the viewfinder is tiny. The noise is already abundant at 400 ISO making the photos effectively unusable above 200 ISO. The battery does not last long. The sensor looks like a magnet attracts dirt when changing lenses. The AF only works well in bright light. Nevertheless... even now when I look at the images taken with the A290 and the lenses that I combined the most (the Sigma 10-20 F4-5.6 and the SAL 55-200, nothing exceptional) I still like them very much, I think it is the particular engraving and clarity of the image that it returned that still make them very enjoyable after almost fifteen years.

Pros: Quality and stabilized CCD sensor, lightweight, possibility to use minolta a-mount optics, used price, excellent jpg

Cons: very entry level body very plastic, ISO hold only up to 200, maf points adjustable only from menu, no video, no LV, little battery life

Opinion: Just picked up it looks like a toy, even the coolpix p500 gave a more pro feeling to the touch, then I mounted my tokina 70-210 and already 'the situation and' much improved ... (the 18-55 standard and 'good but really plastic) however excellent camera to take pictures with a taste a bit vintage and with excellent colors, I use it for outdoor portraits with excellent natural light, especially with water and nature, like all CCD sensors the iso seal is very limited (at 400 iso you can already see noise), with 18-55 SAM and 'very sharp and has an excellent color rendering, little curiosity'.... It is possible to choose to shoot in 16: 9 however it is not very easy because the camera makes a crop on the sensor above and below so as not to allow an adequate composition from the viewfinder which obviously is 3: 2 .... however you can take measurements and all in all for certain photos it can be a convenient function. The strong point of the camera is the sensor really remarkable for dynamic range and detail in this price range, moreover stabilized in the room. Thanks to the A-mount it is possible to use excellent MINOLTA AF lenses available at more than reasonable prices and thus obtain unique photos with a vintage mix / dynamic range of almost pro level. Unfortunately it is not possible to quickly select the focus points and you must therefore take your eye off the viewfinder and go to the monitor menu and select a couple of items ... really absurd.... oh well, for the rest excellent machine rating 8

Pros: Light, simple and essential menu, stabilizer in the machine body, used price, purchased for 80 euros complete with 18_55 and six-month warranty

Cons: at the moment nothing special

Opinion: I have purchased machine and optics for 80 euros these days, shots about a thousand, no signs of wear, original Sony battery. It is an excellent entry level comparable to the nikon D3000 but with vibration reducer. The battery is the same as the Nex5, a5100 and A7 I own. I took some test photos and I have to say that it churns out great files especially raw that are editable with Photoshop CS5. Optics are not bad, it has good sharpness. I was impressed by the minimum focus distance of 25 cm great for photos of flowers, small objects, close-ups in son-in-law. Test shots continue that I will soon upload to Juza so that you can get an idea of the results.

Pros: Simple, ability to utilize optical Minolta af, stabilzzatore image in the camera body, very light (too much), a good number of pixels, well-structured and intuitive menu.

Cons: Image noise already at 400 ISO, the dust can easily get to the sensor (!!), Build quality of the camera body.

Opinion: I bought the car a few years ago and I took about 80,000 photos. The machine is an excellent entry level with which you can start to experiment, learn and take off their first successes. After so many shots must be said that the design limits of the machine, in my opinion, are essentially two: incredibly I often find myself having to clean the sensor and the light meter, using the lens base 18-55 sottoespone me of at least one stop! ! So it would have to be recalibrated ... Of against the fact of having the stabilizer in the body of the machine, allows to use the endless park optical Minolta AF without hitting the moved. This is very handy when using the tele-zoom.rnIl image sensor allows you to make detailed pictures thanks to its well-14mp but when the light begins to run low and you have to raise the ISO problems begin .... In fact, since the 400 iso noise is clearly present in the image but from 800 noise becomes unbearable especially if the photo is made in color. I also appreciated the number of functions which possesses as various balancyou white, area etc. af ... only be called from the fn key, and the fact of having a single ring instead is a bit 'limited ... but oh well, and there is an entry level sta.rnIl value for money when buying it was still good compared to the more famous brands but in hindsight I would have chosen not just because of the quality of construction: nikon and canon are certainly built better, but do not allow the use of a large number of optical dated (keeping the AF and the stabilizer).

Pros: Price, in 2010 I bought 380 euro with 18:55, stabilized body, good image quality

Cons: lack of live view, does not make movies, already noisy at 800 ISO, slow burst

Opinion: My first camera, bought at a lower price of at least 100 euro compared to the entry level of the other brands. He practically taught the basics of photography, indeed has made me discover. The camera body is quite balanced in weight and size, without sin, and live view. Autofocus veloce.Le photos are detailed enough if realized in full light. After initial enthusiasm began to Starmie close, I saw that he had more limits than I thought, but not because it is not a good car, simply because it was the basis of the Alpha that lacked many features that I considered necessary over time. I'm still satisfied with what he gave me and that is the enthusiasm for photography and the basics. Today it is used less than 300 euro with the 18-55, I recommend it to those who want to start discovering the world of SLR. Rating 7
