Pros: Sharpness in the center, very fast AF (too much for the type of optical!), A minimum distance of focus, build quality, color saturation, brightness, accommodation gelatin filters, and all the creative possibilities that offers a fisheye!
Cons: Sharpen the edges (but on a lens like that there is), chromatic aberration, flare (again, pretty normal for a fish), price
Opinion: I use it with satisfaction for about a year. At first it is weird to look through the viewfinder, you open an entirely different world, and I think it takes a little 'time to get the hang of: it is the first time you use a fisheye in fact I think we need a little' practice to understand the possibilities and limitations, discounted penalty to photo / forced / etc. Once there is familiar with the type of lens, really offers a lot of creative possibilities, in the most diverse (I have several photos in your profile that witness). rnIl Sigma is shown immediately built with good materials: plastics are robust, and its compact design, the lens is very heavy. rnInterruttore AF / MF "hard" and well done, but by click a little 'plasticky; ring focus long, smooth and progressive. Allows full time mf.rnL'AF is, as I mentioned, very fast, too, for a fisheye Whereas a moment just close the aperture to have almost everything in focus. As I pointed out in the pros, has a distance of focusing very small, about 3cm fromt the front lens, which allows you to give free rein to their creativity with shots really unusual! Of course, a 3 cm from the subject to TA, even for a fisheye the depth of field is reduced a lot, and at that point the AF comes in handy. rnOttima brightness, which allows creative shots even at night or in low light conditions (in particular photos events / holidays) .rnLa optical performance is very good: excellent sharpness at the center, which obviously fell short on the sides and in the corners, where also the perspective distortion becomes important, however. I tend to keep the subject in the center, but then it depends on what you want to achieve. rnLe images, however, have a very nice three-dimensionality. I have tried other fisheye images instead they gave me more "flat". rnAnche color rendition is excellent: no feedback dominant particularly aggressive, and the colors are very saturated, so much so that at times seems almost to have a polarizer built! rnPurtroppo, chromatic aberration is quite strong: in most cases, andliminabile with Lightroom in a few clicks, but in strong contrast becomes a bit 'more mangy. rnAnche the flare can be bothersome, especially in the shots at night. rnCome said there is also a slot for gelatin filters in the back: personally I've never felt the need, although I would be curious to try them. In the case, I will update the review! ,) RnPer Finally, the price is actually a bit 'high, but offers excellent quality. For APSC in this category, however, is the best lens in my opinion. |
