Pros: Compact, great depth of field, perfect for reportage.

Cons: High price of both new when you go out and used.

Opinion: The ricoh gr iv is perfect for reportage, more you can not ask, it has an exceptional level of customization for size, all functions can be reached with few operations. In my opinion, the small sensor should not be seen as a flaw in the reportage where it is generally triggered at closed focal points to increase the depth of field. This is not necessary because the depth is guaranteed by the small sensor and the F1.9 brightness allows you to keep ISO low to contain the noise. Ricoh focused on the APSC for market reasons but could have developed the machine perhaps by inserting a 1/1.7" foveon and would have centered as the quality and workable of black and white. Too bad he didn't. However, Ricoh remains the best reporting machine.
