Opinion: Until recently I had 4 35mm lenses at home; A Minolta, a Leica Elmarit-R, a summaron and this Pentax-a, all f/2.8 and since it is a fixed focal that I no longer use since the time of analogue I decided to unmake it, not before having done a little test. Excluding the Minolta that I never considered, I decided to test on tripod and with the same subject, the behavior of the other 3 lenses at full aperture. All on the same camera, the Sony A7 with its adapter rings. I will say immediately that the Summaron beat everyone for sharpness at the edges while the Elmarit (made in Germany, not in Canada) gave embarrassing results with edges evidently not up to the older brother. The surprise came from this small (as size) undervalued and depreciated Pentax: just below the summaron and much higher than the Elmarit. Result: The Summaron and the Elmarit were sold with much profit by exploiting their name (the Minolta had gone already earlier) while this Pentax will still have some glory attached a bit more often to Sony especially when I'll need to Travel light without sacrificing quality.
