Pros: Light, crisp, cheap, versatile.

Cons: For what it costs... Nobody!

Opinion: Those who, like me, started photographing in the distant 80s with Pentax system (ME Super 50mm1.7 in my case) can not help but love this goal. It was the classic lens supplied to The Pentax reflexes, just to start photographing (in film, of course). Above all, that's what I could afford financially. Sharp just diaphragmed and with a good return of colors. It was the lens with which you learned to photograph, learning the first rudiments. I owned several, then resold for system changes and today repurchased, with adapter to use it on mirrorless Fuji. A show!!! Very sharp, light, multifunctional. Inverted allows you to make excellent macrophotos and used on bellows or macro tubes turns into what you do not expect (at a ridiculous cost). Used in a conventional way it becomes an amazing portrait lens. What more can i ask him?

Pros: Size, weight, optical quality

Cons: Resistance to flare at closed diaphragms and with strong sources of light

Opinion: Manual lens with position A on the aperture ring. It allows to use all the exposure modes of the machine (A, T, P, S, etc.) which makes it versatile and comfortable to use. The focus is manual with a smooth and soft ring that allows a fine adjustment typical of the manual focus lenses and now forgotten in those autofocus. The price is around 50 euros. The image quality is excellent all over the frame with much higher sharpness values than even the 17-70 at the same focal and diaphragm. Especially on the edges you perceive the greater sharpness. The colors are bright and saturated without exceeding. In the backlighting suffers the strong side lights that cause hexagon-shaped flare, however we are talking about limit conditions in which all goals are struggling. I recommend it to those who want a manual focus vintage lens very bright and excellent quality

Pros: bright, crisp, indestructible, Very economical

Cons: Manual focus

Opinion: With fifty takes home this lens I've tried with tremendous satisfactions on Pentax apsc, Pentax full frame, Panasonic GX 80 and Olympus EM 10, and lately on Sony a6000. I treat it badly, it often falls on the ground but does not make a fold. The images are detailed and the colors returned VIVID. I think it is a lens worth having just for the above Features. Even for those who play, through adapters, with Non-Pentax Cameras.
