It is rather heavy, not really a shirt pocket camera, but still easy enough to carry, I take mine with me at all times, even when I am using the FZ50. Like all Pannas, the camera is simple to operate, settings can be changed with minimum bother, battery life is excellent but that is with the GPS switched off and not using flash to much, the only complaint I have is it has no viewfinder and in bright sun the screen is impossible to see, adding an easy view in my opinion would make the camera to bulky to carry.
