Pros: Size, feeling, pleasure of use. CP Menus & Functions

Cons: Power button and articulating display

Opinion: It's my first OM, After a few months with the Lumix GX80 I decided to try more deeply the micro 4/3 olympus-OM system. My main kit is Sony FF, and I found a lot of pleasant things as they are making me appreciate the system. The machine is very pleasant to hold, and the buttons on the back have very good pressure feedback. The machine's menu seems to me to be very well done with some small tricks that are pleasing and make it clear that it has been done with logic (for example, if you save an item in my menu, when you scroll through the menu a number appears next to mymenu, which indicates how many items have been saved in my menu in the specific submenu we are in at that moment). Very good af and really responsive shooting. Again, coming from Sony FF, the feedback of the shot is excellent. Much quieter and "softer" than a sony of the A7 series. The only defect is the power button on the left. You can set the stick on the right as the power button and this mitigates the problem a lot, the fact remains that it remains something more inconvenient and different than turning on a car with the usual power lever that is positioned under the shutter button (like Sony, Fuji and I assume almost all the others). I haven't tried the OM5 mk1, but in my opinion this is a great camera, which takes care of the matter and doesn't need many other additions to get out of the house and go photographing! It has many interesting and convenient functions, such as focus stacking: it is true that it is a function that many cameras have now, but here in addition to creating the raw files of each shot you will also have a jpeg file ready, so you can immediately check if the focus planes are correct. I really like the quality of the files, even the malleability in post production I find excellent. It doesn't deserve the criticism it has received, absolutely, just as the micro 4/3 system should be pushed more because it is currently poorly understood by most photographers. But it must also be said that OM is wrong in positioning this machine. It is not only valid for outdoors, travel and landscapes. This is also an excellent camera for the Street, mounting a fixed lens like the 17mm it becomes very compact, silent and pleasant to hold around the neck. I tried it intensively in street photography in London (some HD photos are present in my juza gallery dedicated to London), I came home with more conviction to devote more time and resources to the micro 4/3 OM System.
