Pros: Everything to perfection, weight, dexterity for the position of all the necessary keys, internal zoom.

Cons: I would say nothing, except the color white, which in my case, doing nature photography forces me to provide with camouflage.

Opinion: I think everything has already been said by others, I praise the manufacturer who made the decision to design the internal zoom, no longer visible as it has been used so far, vaguely reminiscent of Canon's "pompone", I love it, aesthetically it is as if I used a fixed focal length, I have never liked the designer that all zoom lenses on the market have. Used in a shed with relatively close animals, at 200 (400 mm) it was enough for me to capture herons, roe deer, ducks and birdlife posing. In wandering nature photography I appreciated all the other focal lengths at 50-70 mm mushrooms, flowers, but also some natural landscapes, at 100-150 mm I had fun with insects of all kinds, at 200 mm the birdlife flying in the twilight, despite the low light it made it possible to take good shots both with or without the use of 1.4x and 2x, without noticing obvious differences in quality. It will probably be the telephoto lens that I will use very often in the photography that I prefer, thanks to its variability: f2.8 or f4 (1.4x) or f5.6 (2x)

Pros: aperture on the entire zoom at f2.8, very compact for a 400mm equivalent, double stabilization, the Zuiko construction always at the top

Cons: nothing

Opinion: This new lens for the quality of construction and image is placed at the pinnacle of the system, impeccable construction is perceived from the way you take it in hand of the quality of robustness, truly unique in the world for its 400mm focal length 100-400equivalent to f2.8, the zoom is internal like the top pro optics, the weight without its support is less than 1,100 kg, the 77mm front lens is practically perfect, I had the opportunity to try it in the oasis and take it to my Trails, you immediately notice its portability with the OM-1 II which facilitates photography in even demanding treks, the double stabilization is really fabulous, which allows you to photograph with unthinkable times, but its excellence reaches it in the image quality over the entire focal range at full aperture, with the 2X teleconverter it loses very little quality, and having the possibility of an 800mm equivalent to f5.6 and using it freehand is really a pleasure, I have been using this system for 20 years now and this lens from my experience will have a great success, very positive impressions.

Pros: Compactness, focal range, fixed aperture F2.8, internal zoom, construction

Cons: It's not a real con, but the price has a negative impact unfortunately

Opinion: The new M.Zuiko Digital ED 50-200mm F2.8 IS PRO is a lens that combines compactness with high-level performance. With a focal range equivalent to 100-400mm on full frame, it represents an extremely versatile solution, capable of ranging from landscape to wildlife photography without compromise. The constant aperture of F2.8 ensures brightness and consistency throughout the excursion, a significant advantage especially in low light conditions. Another highlight is the internal zoom, which keeps the lens balanced and easy to handle, which is valuable for both handheld and tripod use. The PRO construction also offers resistance to dust, splashes and frost, making it suitable for those who work outdoors in all seasons. The 50-200mm is compatible with the MC-14 and MC-20 teleconverters, which bring the maximum focal length up to 800mm equivalent while maintaining an aperture of F5.6, a feature that makes it particularly interesting for wildlife photography. I had the opportunity to test it in the field, both at the Gran Sasso for landscape photography, and in the National Park for nature photography, and the impressions were extremely positive. Those interested can see my full test on YouTube (https://youtu.be/0Vn0W78pl10), and I will also add a gallery of sample images taken with this lens.
