Opinion: The E-510 was my first SLR. I chose it mainly for the image stabilizer, which I had on the FZ50, and that being mounted on the image sensor I could use it with all lenses. The camera is lightweight and I found it convenient for settings, but I missed the front dial on the handle (present instead in the FZ50). I found the image quality up to 400 ISO very good, especially in the sharpness of the subject in focus, despite the 14-42 lens in kit (polycarbonate lenses). The single AF has always been precise, a little less the continuous one, even if it has never shone in speed (even with the sigma 30mm 1.4 with ultrasonic motor). Another small disappointment was the display: the colors are distorted and to realize the true image, you have to see it on the PC. The live view is not great and to focus you have to use the exposure lock button, better to shoot with the optical viewfinder (a bit small). The stabilizer is very good, but that of the FZ50 was superior (in my opinion). I still use it for portraits and landscape photos or when I feel like traveling light.
