Pros: Light, swivel Monitor, touch Screen, Excellent 24Mp sensor

Cons: My specimen has the autofocus inaccurate (suffers a bit ' of back focus)

Opinion: It is my first (and for the moment only) digital SLR. I've been using it for over 2 years and I have to say that overall I'm fine. I have purchased other lenses beyond the valid 18-55 VR II kit. My specimen suffers a bit of a back-focus with some lenses I have, so I think it's more the fault of the camera than the lenses. If the use in Live view is perfect. Combined with a good optics you get very definite and sharp images. For me it was a great gym and it is still giving me a lot of satisfaction.

Pros: Lightness, rapid AF, excellent image quality, adjustable LCD.

Cons: Fragility and cost.

Opinion: I was Looking for a light body and small size to always keep with me in hiking in the mountains and biking but I had always slowed by taking the cost for me not justified on average on 900 euro with the optics of the kit I did well to wait Because at the end of 2016 Media World did a promotion and I took it to 600 with optical kit 18-55 PF. I have To say I was stupid by the quality of the produced files and by the autofocus fairly quick and accurate, Good the ISO tightness and the swivelling display to make touch-screen macros. Of cons is slow and cumbersome in operation compared to other Nikon, body a bit ' fragile.

Pros: Very light, very low cost, excellent image Quality.

Cons: Commands not intuitive, suffering at high iso.

Opinion: I purchased this body only for astronomical use, replacing the hot mirror stock with a super Uv-ir Cut. The yield now on the halpha is comparable to all the astronomical chambers on the market with the limitations of the temperatures in the long exposures having not been modified with Peltier Cell. Used mainly by software, it is fast in capturing and precise in the Shots.

Pros: Lightweight machine, excellent quality, adjustable screen for every need

Cons: Comparing with other machines, maybe "too" light, for the rest nothing to say!

Opinion: This machine was my first reflex, and I have to say that I immediately found a feeling that made me fall in love with this toy. I call it "toy" because I like that the camera has a certain consistency in hand and we say also a certain "weight", which this machine is struggling to make, being really lightweight and, as I can confirm, is often unbalanced Compared to the weight of the lens! But this does not create problems with the feeling that is really excellent, with a handle that makes you really feel you have control of the situation. A car that I would recommend to anyone, I brought it everywhere and never betrayed me. By removing the zooms that I used only in the first period, then moving to fixed lenses, the D5500 has always given me beautiful results and a great reliability in every situation! Soon I'll switch to FF, but I do not think I'll ever sell this camera body because the lightness and comfort that gives you, without sacrificing results, is indispensable!

Pros: Excellent image quality, lightness

Cons: AF awkward video, no GPS

Opinion: I use it for two years now with a Nikkor 18-200 VRII and Lexar 64GB SD from 150MB/S. Not hindering the machine is of entry level range gives very very good shots. It is clear that it can not be compared to a professional at the level of sensor, AF and functions, but the little one is doing very well. What I don't understand, but I think they did it only at the marketing level, is because Nikon didn't provide it with GPS as in Sister D5300... Really a shame! (Personal consideration: If I went back I would buy the D7200 for various reasons at the level of functions, ergonomics and handles. But also because the controls are set much more similarly as in the professional.) By pulling the sums the D5500 has all the cards to be the first machine for that person who wants more performance and quality of the sisters D3300/3400.
