Pros: CCD sensor, Perfect autofocus, superlative Jpeg (on sunny days), light, autofocus motor for old AF/AF-D lenses, Display on top,

Cons: Small rear display

Opinion: Bought used with 5450 shots. I consider it a wonderful machine! Say what you want but, in my opinion, it holds up well to my other reflex, the D750. I use it without rendering problems with all the "F" mount lenses I own and it gives me beautiful images even with the poor 28-200 for FF (being an Aps-c body it uses the best part of the lens, the central one). During a short holiday in Tuscany I took both with me and I have, for most of the time, shot with the D50 and the result was exciting: images with beautiful colors, impeccable focus, lightness! Although it has 20 years of technological backwardness on its rump, it does not look bad at all and is also easy to use, menus reduced to a minimum so excellent even for beginners. Again, battery that lasts a long time (in a week I took 450 shots and the battery was not even half). It won't be as refined as the most recent ML (which I own) but I guarantee you that it doesn't look bad at all. In PP it is a little difficult to recover any errors (e.g. shadow recovery allows a maximum of one and a half stops). The "cons" given the age are forgiven.

Pros: It makes beautiful photos, is easy for newbies but has all the necessary controls for the more experienced.

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: I have owned and own several Nikon: D40, D60, D80, D90, ... D7200 and many others, of different brands, including some mirrorless and many advanced compacts. But which one is the best? Clearly the most recent, it is useless to reiterate. But then why do I insist on using, and do you think that I started photographing since 1970!!, old glories like the D40 or the D50, Pentax k-r ..?. Simply because, despite having an eye accustomed, in the end, if I take two prints at random and put them close, I can hardly distinguish, at magnification not higher than A4, with which camera it was taken! In fact, sometimes I recognize more the yield of the CCD and the thin grain, similar to film, to which I was accustomed a few centuries ago and which I still like. Therefore, despite being someone who buys and sells in an almost compulsive way, looking for the best for me, I still keep close cameras like the D50, with which I still feel a real pleasure to use. Of course I photograph for passion and at an amateur level, otherwise it would be if I were a professional photographer! But even in that case the search for Megapixels, the lens of great brightness ... and so on and so forth, beyond limits, easily reached even by "obsolete" cameras, ... they are all mental nonsense, of great emotional impact but of little practical use!!

Pros: Excellent CONSTRUCTION SENSOR CCD

Cons: Lack of second ring and lack of lighting according to state display.

Opinion: Purchased in its time shortly after buying the canon EOS 350D. Use both for several years and they gave me a lot of satisfaction. The Nikon d50 has fewer focus points than the Canon 350d but the machine body is more plastic-robust. I sold it many years later and then last year being repentant I bought another one having had luck in a photography shop had only 4600 shots, practically new and I'm reusing it and even having a better processing software than Nikon D70 and D70S. Great color rendering and sharpness of course at isO low. Now I think that on the used you struggle to find it to me happened by a pure case to find a perfect used one. I advise those who have it to keep it. Mine also has BATTERY GRIP of competition nowhere to be found.

Pros: Everything that colleagues have already reviewed .----------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- ----------------- -------------------------------- rn -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------

Cons: I do not find defects, big reflex camera that still says its today and so will in time, an icon. --------------------------------- ---------------- rn -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- -

Opinion: In the right hands with the experience of the one who knows how to use, I have been able to ascertain his peculiarities / performances, and to see that they have realized authentic Masterpieces. Pros: Dimensions, AF motor, yield, top display, low priced batteries

Cons: Old age defects such as small rear display

Opinion: By reckoning that I bought it 720nm infrared transformer so I can not express it on various aspects of the machine as if it were factory outlet. I have to say, however, that compared to the current level of entry (compared, for example, with a D3200) is certainly a winner in many respects, such as the fundamental built-in AF motor and the most useful top display, even though it lacks defects such as the lack of the second ring Entirely plastic construction. As far as I can say the CCD 6 mpx has been and is always a great sensor that shows great sharpness and with which you can easily take printable photos in 30x45cm. The noise at 1600 iso is also unobtrusive, but this is probably due to conversion. In conclusion it is definitely recommended even in 2017 especially for those who must learn is better at the current entry level and the value hold is very high. Vote 9.
