Pros: Solid, multifunctional construction, relatively compact and lightweight, especially sharp from f8

Cons: It tends to extend when not in use probably for the weight of the stretching part and for its seniority therefore wears

Opinion: I used a lot of optics when I used my father's F3. Now shot with d800 and it's always a pleasure to use. Very polyvalent and convenient, but not extreme, the macro (which is used with the button). RnA macro shot is not sharp enough (to have the f3 slide and not the damn ball to focus .....) but f8 is really a surprise. RnI do not know how much it can cost (I have since since my father took it for F) but I think it's worth everything that costs and advice. The macro is nice and I have to say I use it also not to 35 mm So I do not understand who says it is not used anymore. Then obvious that with extension pipes you do better

Pros: Price. Small, but a tank, as if it were a volta.Pieno format on FX. Good sharpness. Ability of macros in emergency / unexpected situations

Cons: Zoom ring hard plunger, at least on my copy. Macro sollo the focal 35 mm.

Opinion: Bought at 60 euro on ebay, as new, is the old AI-s MF manual. Certainly not a fast zoom, but still able to return good images with good resolution, under the right conditions. I also have a 35/2 and 105 / 2.5, but I took this for convenience in the "street", and a little bit to play. It has the macro function only on 35 mm, so not optimal but useful on occasion, also do not like the zoom "plunger" which I find hard and impractical. Obviously MF manual and exposure obtained without CPU. but once it did so, it's like a throwback even with digital SLR. In conclusion, for 60 euro I think I have made a good buy and it is definitely a fun goal.

Pros: Compact, filters 52, all metal, crisp on FF

Cons: impractical macro function, not D, boken so-so

Opinion: I found from my "drug dealer" habitual and paid 90 € with the original caps. It took more than anything to play with, and instead the first magnified files have impressed me. Even the AF - I thought inaccurate snail - is precise and quick. A bit 'dark, it is not a 2.8 but is little bigger than a fixed and you can not want everything. Perhaps it is the only zoom that I have that I can put into a jacket pocket or backpack, so I think the next trip you will see them in a dedicated gallery on the top arrived in casa.rnAnche backlit, despite losing a bit 'Contrast , it is not filled with stars and flashes. A beautiful sorpresa.rnIl "macro" instead works through uncomfortable button and only 35mm, focal almost useless for the macro. Even in the 24-85 / 2.8 to 4 there is a similmacro function and impractical. After these optical I am not aware that Nikon has more proposed this function only in a specific zoom, 70-180.rn
