I am a nikonist since ever and I do not understand why Nikon does not dedicate to these cameras the due interest. The weight is fantastic, the yield is excellent and the autofocus is a real miracle. I also bought the FT Mount Ring to mount the FF lenses and...... I found myself a tele from 810 mm F4 with the 300 F4 AF-S, or a zoom 189-540 F4 AF-S VR (70-200 AF-S VR f4)... not to be believed!! And with the 300 AF-S which is certainly not a lightning war the focus is immediate. Files in raw Lavorabilissimi and everything, in good substance, positive. I did not believe in that by machines of this size I expected a perceptible delay of the response to the press of the shutter. As a neo, in my opinion, there are raw that are not 14 bit and this is perhaps the only downside I have encountered. In essence it's a bomb.

Pros: Very robust and well constructed object. Excellent ergonomics with optional handle. Good battery life. Adjustable and functional shield. Optional electronic performance finder.

Opinion: After years of travel with very heavy and "vivid" equipment I decided that it was time to try to move with a compact camera but that could not make me regret my current D810. After a long period of reflection and testing with many models of my own cameramen friends with mirrorless FF or APSC with excellent quality, I opted for this model since we are a Nikonista family for three generations. Doubtful of the results that such a small sensor could offer me I was really amazed at the goodness of the files obtained. I replaced the 10-30 series, however, discreet with 10-100 f4-5.6 series 1 zoom to have a handyman Take more out of the optical plug connector and I went around for trial shots. So, apart from the lens that does its job well, both Raw and Jpeg are very good and workable. Clearly you can not expect a dynamic range from the Nikon 8xx series, but the little one defends very well. Reactivity at shooting is amazing and AF is velocissimo. The video compartment is worthy of the best DSRL and very high performance. To increase the overall ergonomics, I have purchased both the optional handle and the electronic viewfinder which in my opinion is very useful for framing the best. Discreet battery life that allows quietly about a day's work. It's just a matter of fact, but it's a flipper, the disadvantage of the micro SD card.
