Pros: I am not able to evaluate his performance

Cons: I find it a bit unbalanced on my nikon fm2

Opinion: I refer to the evaluations I read, I now for portraits and for my convenience, I use only the 50 mm or at most the 105. This 135 of mine is unused I think I will sell it. Tested on the D700 it is fantastic but the weight of the whole is gym, the same goes for the F2. I am more and more convinced to alienate it as soon as possible, it is a real shame to keep it, not to use it. When I go around to take photos I like to travel light.

Pros: Built for eternity, only 4 lenses, blurred by screaming, 225 very long degrees of rotation for the maf ring, aesthetically a wonder, integrated hood with velvet-like interior, mounts very cheap 52mm filters.

Cons: Maf necessarily surgical, you need a serious REFLEX to manage it natively.

Opinion: A seasoning of buttery meltability for your portraits, will give you a soft blur for the background and delicate light for the face: you will become the hero of every model. It is a very close relative of the legendary Nikkor-P 180 f 2.8: practically with the same internal construction but smaller and optically with one lens less; 100% metal and glass; only maintenance: every 50 years it will be necessary to change the grease of the double internal helicoids. It should be used preferably on easel, in the studio, with controlled lights: it has pastel tones and delicate shades; it makes good both in FF and Aps-c, does not vignette and suffers little direct light, does not produce flares. Anyone involved in portraiture should have it in their bag: a little piece of Nikon history. Mine is from 1970 and I disassembled, cleaned and regreased it completely. I recommend PTFE grease for the internal helical, lithium for the external one and graphite powder for the diaphragm and its linkages. Here it is disassembled for those who want to appreciate the SPLENDID internal construction. https://www.juzaphoto.com/galleria.php?t=4209646&bk=n-1-&l=it
