Although it is made entirely of plastic, it does not "scowl" and does not give a feeling of fragility at all. After about 90 films taken with this, one evening my cat flew it from a very very high shelf, at least 3 meters high (fortunately it had no lenses mounted) and after a thunderous blow accompanied by 3/4 bounces unfortunately she fell to her knees towards a better life (it turns on does everything but it doesn't click anymore).
