Pros: Sharpness in the center, blurry (may not like it), cost

Cons: Sharpness outside the center, construction

Opinion: Objective with a three-lens scheme, excellent resolution even at TA but with low contrast, already at f/4 the contrast improves a lot; unfortunately just outside the center the yield drops a lot and even closing a lot recovers little. Probably the simple scheme did not allow more. I would not recommend it as 50mm generic, much less for landscapes, but for photos with subject in the center, taking advantage of its characteristic bubble bokeh soap, can give particular images and be a lens worth buying, also because it is a few tens of euros. The construction is a little less curated than other objectives of the time, my first specimen was decidedly poor optically although it had no sign of damage, there are probably specimens very below the standard, which can explain the different opinions present on this page.

Pros: Sharpness, extraordinary bokeh, fantastic colors, compactness, ridiculously priced

Cons: Boh... for my use so far none, who says it is not sharp maybe has problems to use manual optics

Opinion: Lens bought a little for gaming in my store trust at a ridiculously priced (€15), it proved a magnificent glass at least for my type of photo (Close-up). Used on Olympus Em1 Mark 2 with Exakta adapter, I find it has excellent sharpness even at full aperture, (but I use it especially so), beautiful colors and a really extraordinary bokeh, especially when used in semi-backlight. Obviously on M4/3 becomes a 100 mm, but for this type of photos it's okay!

Pros: Sharpness, construction, bokeh, availability

Cons: Nobody given the value for money

Opinion: I was lucky to have this magnificent optic with Exa attack as a gift. I had it as a gift because the lens has a very superficial layer of mushrooms. I immediately thought it was useless to try it and instead despite everything proved to be a very clear and versatile lens. Even today I can hardly believe how a lens so badly put can give such great results.rnSu ebay is easily on 20 € and this price is certainly a best buy. I use it mainly with the wonderful Exa 1a, a tank of the past that I like very much and that always gives me satisfaction. Even with digital, it knows how to assert itself, above all thanks to the very particular bokeh.rn

Pros: Compact, lightweight and solid construction, particular bokeh, a bit "dreamlike" in TA

Cons: Existence sharpness if not diaphragmed at least 5.6 (on my specimen), better f8

Opinion: This lens was given to me along with the purchase of the sigma 105 2.8 os, so gift and lens unexpectedly supplied, and in fact I had originally thought of selling it; Probably the worst lens meyer ever realized by what i know, sharpness that you begin to appreciate from 5.6 up (let's say sharp on current dens sensors at f8) but this is not the point, on nikon I tried to make close ups (Obviously being m42 does not go over 1.5m of fire with a simple adapter) and it is certainly not its strong, rather its rendering to TA makes it interesting for unconventional shots with a few pastel colors, very interesting for close-up / Macro settings, also for the typical characteristic of bubble bokeh (in trioplan style); Other traditional macro surprises, f8 the lens is quite resolved, on nikon of the focus the focus is very close with a no-lens adapter (i did not calculate exactly the magnification) but with only 1cm of tubes it drops to about 0 , 5x, to f11 the diffractionIt's not particularly obvious and what's interesting seems to have no problems with Chromatic Aberrations on particularly contrasted areas (what I noticed was plagued by species in the use of flash on some slow insects even like the 40 micro which I had and the 105 sigma), in short it seems An interesting alternative to my 40 micro which I sold to buy the sisgma 105 to get snap shot with less blurry backgrounds; Obviously also has some other negative side on the use of modern dslr, the diaphragm ring is jerky so the focus may be a difficult coat in non-optimal light conditions by holding the selected diaphragm of interest (not easy to go from 2.8 to Closed diaphragm, it would be convenient to use the second ring as on the 44-2 helios), the rest being a lens made of metal but still very compact and lightweight; Finally the price on ebay around 30-50 €, I do not know whether it is worth it, maybe you can even find it even less ... all in all is a lens that can vent a little to the fantThing and singular shots.
