Pros: Reasonable price, lightness, well-doseable clutch

Cons: Slower plate "fast" hooking than other systems

Opinion: I have been using this ball head for 6 months and I appreciated its general characteristics and build quality, in particular the smoothness of the sphere, which allows fluid movements and not in jerks, even with high loads. The hooking of the plate is two-stroke: it rests on the support and hooks with a click, but it must also be fixed by tightening the appropriate knob, otherwise the plate can move (dangerously!) to the side, but can not be removed. The release requires the reverse operation: you loosen the knob and hold down the red button to release. Overall it works well, but requires a bit of apprenticeship to be fast.

Pros: Light, effective, beautiful to see.

Cons: Non-rubber plate, swiss faceplate incompatible with other platelets of the same type.

Opinion: Decided to take something serious and almost definitive for the tripod and in anticipation of buying supertele optical optics, I chose this head. Almost nothing to complain about the product, which seems to be exceptional and where I almost point it out, as a single flaw, however, already anticipated in the "against" the incompatibility of the platform (which in theory should be able to hook any swiss ark) with platelets recovered from another tripod. The original manfrotto plate is also quite large, lacking classic rubber goggles to make fastening to the slip test body on the vertical poses and therefore I gave it 9 to a head that would otherwise deserve more than 10.
