sent on 23 Febbraio 2026 Pros: Compact and lightweight (260g) – fits in any bag or jacket pocket. Legs adjustable in length and inclination, useful for finding stability on uneven surfaces. Effective ball head for light equipment, with good freedom of movement. Versatile: Perfect for macro, close-up, light time-lapse, LED, microphones, action cameras. Excellent portability/utility ratio. Cons: Limited stability with heavy bodies and optics: over 1–1.5 kg compromises begin. Plastic attachment plate: It can flex slightly, causing micro-movements. The legs, when fully extended, become more elastic and less reliable. Not suitable for long exposures with heavy equipment or in windy conditions. Opinion: The Manfrotto Pixi EVO is a mini tripod designed for lightweight cameras and for those looking for a compact travel stand. Since 2016, it has become one of the most popular models in the "table tripod" category, thanks to its portability and the possibility of obtaining very low shooting points. It is not a replacement for a traditional tripod, but an accessory to always have in your backpack for situations where lightness is a priority. The Manfrotto Pixi EVO is an extremely practical mini tripod, ideal for those who want a light and always available stand. It's not perfect and can't compete with more serious tripods, but for macros, travel, vlogs, side-by-side photos and improvised situations it's often the easiest and most immediate solution.
sent on 16 Aprile 2022 Pros: Lightness, size, portability. Cons: Nothing, if you are aware that this mini-tripod can not replace in all respects a classic tripod. Opinion: Lightweight, practical, convenient to carry especially on trips and excursions (fits in your bag comfortably or even in your jacket pocket). It is a valid alternative to go light without having to bear the weight and bulk of a "normal" tripod. You have to accept the compromises that this type of mini-tripod involves: low pdr (but it can be very interesting), relatively light equipment (max 1.5 kg between camera and lens) even if I, at home, I loaded up to 2.2 Kg. without particular problems. I always take it with me on excursions with the Olympus OMD E-M10 MKII or with the Fujifilm X-T2 and I have never had stability problems even with extended feet.
sent on 15 Aprile 2022 Pros: lightness and dimensions Cons: Instability Opinion: I have been using it for a few months with my Fuji X-T2 mounting standard lenses and I must say that I appreciate it only for its lightness and small size, features that allow excellent portability. The real problem is the stability of both the legs (especially if extended) and the head, which make it of reduced usability especially in macro photographs. From a Manfrotto I sincerely expected much more.
sent on 04 Ottobre 2021 Pros: Lightweight, it is placed almost everywhere. Good leg extension (4 shots per leg) Cons: Two blocking positions of the legs, little. Opinion: I personally don't trust sticking a camera to it. I use it mainly to hook the crystal ball, or the flash, or lately the LED panel. Maybe I could attach the Nikon D3100 with a 50 or 35 or even the 40 macro, but obviously to be controlled with the shutter cable or the remote control. But for larger lenses (24-70, or 55-300) I rely on my older brother the Compact MKC3-H01, also Manfrotto.
sent on 04 Ottobre 2021 Pros: Portable Cons: Unstable, insufficient adjustments Opinion: I use it with Sigma DP Merrill series cameras, it is small and can be carried everywhere, the ball head is not its problem, but the legs, so a better locking mechanism would be needed and certainly with greater height from the ground, the two preset heights are definitely ridiculous. If it had progressive blocks on the individual legs I would promote it, but not so.
sent on 23 Maggio 2021 Pros: Small but with ball head and different height adjustments Cons: For use with machine bodies and lightweight lenses Opinion: I've been using it for a couple of years with sony's A6xxx series and it also holds the 70-350m as long as you use the collar. I am passionate about mountain trips and I always take it with me (together with Sirui's Traveler 5C) both for macro/closeup of flowers or insects, and to mount the LED panel in case it has to illuminate some subject. For the equipment in my possession it is perfect, I can only talk about it well.
sent on 23 Maggio 2021 Pros: Small, light Cons: Highly unstable Opinion: It is an excellent tripod to use with a light machine and a very light polycarbonate lens. However if the lens is heavy e.g. 500g the head does not hold. Therefore the meso of the lens will affect the position of the head. In addition it is quite elastic advice to use a re ritartato click otherwise you get choppy or micro choppy.
sent on 12 Settembre 2020 Pros: Small, light, versatile Cons: it's small can't be high! Opinion: for macro photos is great. I've been using it for a long time for flower photos and it's just what I need. a groove allows you to place the camera at 90 degrees. possessing an olympus kit I do not have problems with the weights of the machine/target system so for the hub holds up very well. Probably cameras with lenses for FF may not be entirely stable.
sent on 22 Aprile 2020 Pros: Small, light, comfortable and always at your fingertips Cons: Difficult to find the frame because the lens drops for the weight, even if tight to the maximum. Opinion: I use it when I can't carry the tripod, already using the 24/105 f4, once the car is placed, the lens drops once it leaves the weight to the tripod. it is comfortable to correlate because in certain situations you can not have the easel with you, but you do not expect great solidity. With lighter and shorter lenses it does its duty even if it is easy to expect micromox in the photo!
sent on 23 Febbraio 2020 Pros: Portable, versatile, cheap Cons: Not very stable, but you could imagine Opinion: I have this little easel for several months now, I have used it on several occasions, it does not go wrong, but do not think it is a monster of stability! With the 7d 2 and a 24-105L holds, but you definitely need the 10s self-timer and that there is no wind, otherwise you are fried. It still has its own why , I used it in places where I would never have dreamed of opening the real tripod and sometimes allows you to have unusual shots (very low). The main value is that being so small you can always keep it in your bag/backpack and then have it on occasions when the tripod dreams of it. In my opinion it is to have, but as a permelent object in the backpack, not as a substitute for the real tripod (even small). That is to use it when you can not open or have the real one!
sent on 07 Luglio 2018 Pros: Size - weight Cons: Not as stable as you might see from certain reviews - The only metal parts are the screws and the sphere of the head - It lowers a bit once put on the ground (it is always better to put the timer at 2 seconds) Opinion: I've been using this little tripod for just over a year with medium light equipment (1/1.2 kg). I took it just before I left to have a tripod, I was gorillapod oriented but I didn't have time to order one and in the shops of my city I could not find any. Thinking that you can use it to replace the gorillapod was a mistake, the pixi evo needs a generous base of support, which makes it quite inconvenient to use on the go unless you want to rest it on the ground. Actually this is not a real problem when you consider that this is a table tripod (don't make my own mistake). The biggest flaw I noticed is the tightness of the head that in the tightening tends to go down a bit (it does not affect the stability of the shot, but I do not recommend exposures of 30 seconds or more). As for the construction leaves a little to be desired being predominantly plastic, but I had no problems of ruptures or various defects (I just faded the writing on the leg, but nothing serious). Overall I found it quite comfortable, you can safely tuck it into your pocket or belt and carry it without the slightest annoyance/clutter, of course (there shouldn't even be the need to specify it, but you never know) can't replace a real tripod, you have to take it for what it is, a table tripod.
sent on 25 Settembre 2017 Pros: Exceptionally small and practical, inexpensive but of good quality Cons: for the typology, but if you pretend the quality of a chip on a 20 cm stand obviously you fall bad Opinion: I bought for a few tens of euros, I used it with olympus kit, and even nikon, putting on a d750 with bg and 70 200 or tokina 16 28, so it holds more than good .... on one occasion I also placed d750 with a very heavy catadriatic 1000, so I would say it was great for the size of the tripod. It obviously meant that to avoid the move it was used remote control or some kind of self-timer, such as self-timer etc. etc., that was a discovery, I always carry it behind in journeys that go out where I want less space; I highly recommend it, I am now a couple of years old and have not bothered it.rnAccurate
sent on 24 Settembre 2017 Pros: is Manfrotto, trust us ... Cons: ... and you're wrong! Mine broke (and I risked big!) After a couple of uses! Opinion: More than an opinion, I'll tell you what happened to me. Draw the conclusions.rnrnQuals ago I was given this Manfrotto Pixi Evo, so I took him on a trip to Budapest.rnrnTramonto, Danube and a nice large wall ... ok ... all ready for a nice photograph! RnTiro outside the backpack the Pixi Evo (used only once before), screw it to the car (Canon 70D with Sigma 17-50 2.8) and support it on the wall with the machine mounted above (in bubble horizontally), making sure that everything was stable. I set the car and I do the shot .... rnrn ... just the time of that half step back to shoot with the remote control, when I see a slight movement of the machine ... in a fraction of a second I take a flight while falling from one side (the side of the void!). I risked big! RnrnWhat happened? RnrnOnce the car is grasped, some Pixi pieces fall into my hand: the big gray wheel (the one that tightens the screw to the car) has come out and seems split in the middle. Together withIt comes out of the plate also some washers and small screws ... basically all the fixing mechanism broken! rnrnOf years use trestles of all kinds and it never happened to me that a piece would crack open in my hand with such fragility. This does not mean that bad luck can not happen. I could have caught that specimen on a bad enemy. Ok ... rnRipensandoci, however, that PLASTIC wheel smells a lot ... on the other hand is not often seen around the heads of good quality. But not even on those from a few euros to tell the truth! I do not recommend buying any trestle or head that has a fixing system based on plastic elements, even if it is called Manfrotto. Indeed, especially if you call Manfrotto, because you pay more for the name ... and that's it! Rn
sent on 09 Settembre 2017 Pros: small..portable .. resistant..so its duty well Cons: no one for that for which it was created Opinion: a real discovery ... bought for a long time but never used ... I took advantage of the Venice trip to take it along with d750 + bg and nikon 14 24 .... say ... do not miss a shot ... regfe fine the weight ... drops just a little while you hit it but after you know it's highest and solve the problem ... recommended for trips to big cities to make long exposures without having to wear enormous tripods and break the back.
sent on 31 Agosto 2017 Pros: Convenient and cheap Cons: Best to use remote control or delayed release for not moving Opinion: Bought for trips where it is not possible to bring a serious tripod, I chose it from the pixi because the head has a capacity of 2.5 kg against 1 kg.rnsi behaves well with the ML or anyway with light machines. The head guarantees the desired movement.rnPlay a wink on the smallest union so better to use it with remote control or delayed delay to avoid flexion and movement.rnStraordinary portability, a little less ... stability ...
sent on 28 Maggio 2017 Pros: Awesome Cons: Nothing Opinion: Fantastic and convenient. In a lateral position (ie a 90 degree sloping machine) you have to stretch your feet to the maximum if you do not overturn it. With elongated feet is very stable (canon 70d + 24-70 f4). In standard position no problem. 2 second click or remote control. I do not recommend the "immediate" shot is comfortable, solid, and stable but you risk the micromouse. With 2 second delay delay or remote control no problem. Reflected. She comes with me. Always! RnVoto 9.rn
sent on 25 Aprile 2017 Pros: All Cons: Anything Opinion: I find it great to travel, to be put in hand luggage, but also in the backpack in the day trips if you want to have a viable alternative to the traditional tripod. Ability to stretch their legs or to open totally by increasing the stability. I go I use pro-pearl, for the video camera and the Canon 7D, with wide-angle lenses. The tightening screw is strong and it is not necessary to tighten too much. Take away little place to become an everyday utility. Always the I use the self-timer to avoid the risk blur but this also applies to large easels and not have to get up the mirror.
sent on 18 Agosto 2016 Pros: Nobody Cons: All Opinion: Bought to take him in hand luggage during a trip, according to use, and it 'broke a small lock that locks the pin where you screw the rendondolo camera inoperable. The plastic holder oscillates as you press the shutter button, you can only use with a remote control or autoscatto.rnspero the return journey to be able to ripararlo.rn
sent on 11 Giugno 2016 Pros: Compactness, versatility, portability, in relation to the size. Cons: attachment plate to the plastic camera that swings the machine. Opinion: I chose this model because I needed a lightweight support to carry with you, maybe in your backpack or on a plane, without being pretentious. Before buying the Pixi Ages I read several reviews, especially in comparison to the version pixi base that is defined by some more stable. In fact, having had the opportunity to try both in the store, I confirm that the legs of the Pixi are stiffer and give a feeling of greater stability, but the ball head is not strong enough to support a tightening D7200 with 18-200 which tends to yield. This is why I opted for the version Evo.rn The ball head is really good and the screw tightening, shows no signs of slowing down even with sigma 105 mounted, clearly once fixed have to calculate a few centimeters of oscillation. Legs adjustable in length and inclination, are made of aluminum coated plastic and once positioned and stabilized the SLR are sufficiently stable. Only downside is the attachment plate that is made in rather elastic plastic, therefore nDespite the legs and the sphere are perfectly stable SLR continues to oscillate for a few seconds after placement. Clearly this phenomenon is less obvious by mounting optical lighter, however, in my opinion, you must use the self-timer or remote control, because the slightest touch would sway reflex getting blurred images. Clearly can not replace a traditional tripod (I xpro3 a 055 and a 394-pq), but I would advise the Pixi Ages for those who want a portable and discreet support that allows for the PDR very special and with the necessary precautions ( no wind and vibration, remote control) allows you to also shoot long exposures. 8 vote, if he had had an aluminum plate as the ball would have given 10.
