Pros: Robust, capacious, comfortable to wear/wear and with plenty of space.

Cons: A bit heavy (but the robustness is "paid"), backpack handle too fine

Opinion: Like so many I compared this backpack with Tilopa, but between the various ICU always apart and the impossibility of seeing the Tilopa in person, I decided to take this excellent Lowepro. I am very satisfied, I can put in a D850 with Sigma 60-600 mounted, a Nikon 70-200 f2.8, a Nikon 24-120, a Nikon 105 macro a little accessories and spare battery and possibly fixed Nikon 35 f1.8 and Nikon 50 f1.4 going to laugh at the rest. He also put in a gearbox, a pair of pants, a t-shirt and a jacket. As you can see there is a lot of stuff in it, but it is also true that it becomes heavy mooolto.... but there is everything ;-) So for a nice trip to the mountains, you are embarrassed about what to take with you and play between content/weight to make the most of your outing. The only drawback I found is the backpack handle being too fine, and with all that weight you "cut off" your hand to lift it. I would recommend doing a handle like in the ProTactic. Still great product throughout.

Pros: Sturdiness, impermeability, low cost (compared to competitors), opening on the back divided into two, plenty of extra space for clothing and mountaineering equipment, photo department clearly separated from the rest, rain cover included.

Cons: Higher load weight than the main competitor (Tilopa) of more than 1 kg.

Opinion: I chose this backpack after several analyses and comparisons with the F-stop Tilopa. I saw the Tilopa in action and I did not like the fact that the garments and the ICU were in the same area of the backpack, opening the backrest with an ICU smaller than the opening of the compartment, there are clothing and other things not photographic "exposed" and this personally I don't like it, so it's all mixed up together. The price difference with the Tilopa then was about 150 euros (taken on Amazon). As for the backpack I find it very good both for the space of the photographic equipment and for the storage of non-photographic material such as clothing and food for excursions, I have not yet tried but I think you can carry comfortably ski and Snowshoes. The removable internal ICU is bomb-proof because unlike other backpacks it has a rigid structure as well as padded. There is in fact inserted on all sides a foil in plastic material. This allows the backpack to stand up on its own and we all know how comfortable it is. Another very convenient thing in my opinion is the possibility to open only half of the backrest by extracting only the machine body or things stored in the upper half. The part dedicated to the extra material as I said and separated and with a zipper to compress the type valige, I do stay: two pairs of gloves, two caps, two neck warmer, sunglasses and sight, rainpants a sweatshirt, a duvet and a jacket in Goretex Also, at the top, a Powerbank the rain cover, food type bars, car keys home phone etc. The tripod (I have a sirui N-3204x) is transported comotamente in one of the two sides equipped with straps but it could also be mettre in the central rear position. The underside and separation with the ICU is in a very durable material, it looks like hard rubber, while everything else is of a very thick material type PVC Tarcs of trucks. The hinges have comfortable sockets, usable also with gloves, especially that of the photographic compartment is giant and well-flowing. I had no problems for now with EasyJet. The whole has a weight, balance to the hand, of 3.5 kg against the 2.3 of the Tilopa, but I preferred it anyway.

Pros: Very resistant, very good rain/snow coating, back opening so safe, external pocket, upper and lateral for extra photographic material, very padded bottom to protect from shocks the material inside and with a material Resistant almost rubberized.. Besides, he's standing alone. Beautiful color (my opinion). Internal removable ICU. Rain-proof shell included.

Cons: Quite heavy, I would have preferred a backrest with more marked grooves then with more ventilation.

Opinion: I was indecio between this and a Tilopa (f-stop), in the end I opted for this both for the cost (internal ICU included with the backpack as opposed to the F-stops) that for the speed of purchase (Amazon). I use it as a "normal" backpack when I remove the inside that as a photo backpack when I have to take away everything or to keep everything at home in one place; I do stay 7d2 5d4 6d 400 f5 6, 70/200 f4-17/40-35art-85 F1,8-150 macro-14 Samyang-GoPro-USB chargers and various cables, although at that point my back cries revenge! I haven't tried it yet but to increase the non-photographic space you could put a smaller ICU and use the remaining space for other items or clothing. EDIT. I bought an "ICU" on Amazon of an unknown brand, it fits us perfectly and occupies exactly half of the interior space. I use it when I have to go to the mountains with a camera body and two lenses so that the remaining space remains free for clothing and food.

Pros: Excellent protection from shocks and atmospheric agents. Security having the opening on the back. Excellent materials and finishes.

Cons: exorbitant cost. A little 'too heavy to be empty. It is not "sympathetic" to some airlines. material for non-photographic space a bit 'too tight.

Opinion: comfortable backpack for hiking and outdoor activities in general. A bit 'too cumbersome and (the long) uncomfortable for MTB. Airlines Air France and KLM do not accept it as hand luggage or be prepared to long discussions before we agree reluctantly. No problem with Emirates and Lufthansa. I solved by removing the inside padded backpack and putting it in a trolley having the maximum permissible size. The outside of the put, full of clothes inside in hold baggage. Excellent materiel and waterproofing; even after a whole day walking in the pouring rain, the main room was perfectly dry. Very sturdy and functional even the semi-rigid base which gives excellent protection against impact (very useful in the inevitable slips down on scree or tumbles doing cross country). It also keeps him perfectly vertical backpack when not worn, (handy when you have to support the backpack on snow or wet / oily funds). Really well designed.
