Pros: Amazing viewfinder, image quality, top ergonomics, menu and key ring configuration

Cons: Fixed LCD, Footprint

Opinion: Image quality: The SL2 is equipped with a great 47.3 megapixel full-frame sensor, which offers sharp details and a great dynamic range. The images captured are rich in detail and have a vaguely analog look that makes it preferable to other models that are very similar on paper such as the Panasonic S1R. The grain, also present at medium ISO (3200) is not annoying and has no chromatic noises, easily eliminated in post and in any case never intrusive or annoying overmost. Sturdy Construction: The camera has an all-metal frame and a leather cover that ensures durability and strength, it truly looks like a tank. Plus, it's rated with an IP54-certified rating, making it weather-resistant. High-quality electronic viewfinder: The electronic viewfinder, one of the most beautiful I've ever had the opportunity to use, offers 100% coverage and a resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels. This makes the composition of the images precise and comfortable. Fast and accurate autofocus: The SL2 has 225 AF areas, allowing for fast and accurate focusing. Being only contrast, it is not ideal for fast-moving subjects or very dynamic situations, however, if used carefully it provides great satisfaction. Ergonomics and intuitive controls: this is a strong point that differentiates it from so much competition, the layout of the buttons and dials is very well studied, making it easy to access the main settings. The user interface is basic, but extremely intuitive and customizable in a very simple way. It is a machine that after a few hours of use, seems to have always known and this, in the current scenarios, is a point of excellence. Connectivity is modern and adequate: The SL2 is equipped with WiFi and a USB-C port that also allows charging without removing the battery. This allows for fast image transfer. The remote management via app is great, super easy app and also allows RAW transfer to your phone. This is a very nice treat, using Apple, I immediately transfer the raw to the phone and as soon as I get home, I find them nice and ready on the Mac. Sleek design: The combination of high-quality materials and minimalist design make the SL2 an aesthetically pleasing camera that is very pleasant to use. In summary, the Leica SL2 is an excellent choice for enthusiasts who are looking for a versatile, durable camera capable of producing high-quality images combined with great pleasure in use. Personally, I would have preferred a slightly smaller car, not so much, but a little smaller. This is because I often use it with the L-shaped plate, or if I go to places where I fear I can ruin it, I use a pad to protect it and with these accessories it becomes really "imposing"!

Pros: Image quality, viewfinder, handling, shooting pleasure, construction materials, operation, everything.

Cons: do you want me to say the price? for what they offer and in the used market there are great deals.

Opinion: There is little to do, with the other cameras the photos are not so beautiful. For the features it offers I find it suitable for any genre. In addition to the well-known pasty colors in particular, I was struck by the progressive blurry and the noise that when it appears at high iso is not chromatic and recalls the grain of the film. On a haze day I took pictures with a 'vintage' Telyt-R 350, well the images even without post production came out clean as if the sky were clear. The line, materials, controls and menu are exclusive as well as functional, there is what you need in the right place, a truly unique shooting pleasure, the weight is reflex but it is not felt because the handle offers maximum grip, you do not need supports and falls into your hand well balanced with any lens. The viewfinder is amazing. Ideal with native ts but with adapters with SIGMA MC-21 and Leica M/L contacts I used my old kit and the machine recognizes them all also because they are premomerized in the software, the image quality remains unique. Then well, raw files and jpg ready immediately, simple menus well separated between photos and videos, customizable keys, excellent stabilizer, touch type smartphone and the Leica Foto App that works great.

Pros: Build quality, IQ, fantastic ergonomics, DESIGN, EVF, stabilizer, battery

Cons: DESIGN , non-adjustable display

Opinion: It would be enough to say THAT IT IS A LEICA to be able to close my remarks on this matter. However, I come from a Sony A73, already a very good machine, with this the qualitative leap in terms of files (raw or jpeg one more beautiful than the other) and in terms of ergonomics and practicality of use it is evident. Simply perfect menu. Stabilization not at the level probably of cameras with smaller sensor (my battle olympus maybe manages to recover something more) but very performing. Having been used to a (not beautiful) adjustable display, I have a bit of a habit curve at the fixed, but no one. I put the Desing both among the pros and cons, personally I find it very beautiful (effective maybe it makes the idea more) but it is certainly not the classic Leica look to which we are accustomed. Good battery if you don't have to do weddings you quietly do a jerking session.

Pros: Overall machine system quality + SL ts = superlative image quality

Cons: No one, not even the weight, which is justified by the characteristics of the machine

Opinion: The merits of the SL2 are the ergonomics of the controls and the quality of the objectives. With only three fingers, medium (for the two front keys), index finger and thumb, you can use the relevant controls without changing grip and without ever taking your eye out of the eyepiece. No competitor is so well studied. Try to believe. Manual fire (slow firmware 2.0) is perfect and autofocus is fast. The targets are on another planet. Really, they're not just a little bit better, they're really amazing. In short, the SL2, like all Leica, costs money, but it's really worth it.

Pros: Excellent camera in all respects. Complete, reliable, tropicalized, accepts optics of all kinds, movies of exceptional quality. Describing all the merits is impossible.

Cons: It weighs (with 24-90, with which it does everything) about 2kg. It costs 6,090 euros; is that a lot? For what it offers no, but logically it is not for everyone

Opinion: A truly amazing machine with a five-axis stabilizer, a sensor of almost 50 mega full frame pixels is a wonderful file quality, representing the flagship of all Leica production. It can also accept targets Leica SL, Leica S, Leica TL, Leica M, Leica R, Sigma and Lumix. Actually an ALL-in-one with 24-90.
