Pros: Sharpness in the center, contrast, colors, construction, swirl

Cons: Sharpness decays quickly as soon as you move away from the center

Opinion: I have the 44M-7 version that I use on nikon D750, exclusively for portraits with swirl effect. With ultra-thin adapter comes to focus at about 1.5m, I bought a mechanically modified specimen to get up to 4 meters (which covers almost all situations to create the swirl, besides it would touch on the mirror) and transmission of the value of the aperture. Without therefore the retreat of the rear lens alone which instead would worsen its quality. Sharpness in the center really remarkable, at f2 is probably better than all the various manual nikkor 50mm with the same aperture, too bad that it decays very quickly as soon as you move away from the center. To have sharpness up to the edges you need to close quite a bit. Fortunately, even at TA the contrast is high and the chromatic aberrations are well controlled, which contributes a lot to making the photos pleasant even when the sharpness is not at the top. I took some shots in autumn with the sun low with colors so beautiful that already in the room they seemed post-produced, but I read discordant opinions about it so maybe it depends on the room or the conditions. Tank construction, aesthetically essential but quite well finished. Corsa maf long as the nikon pre-AI and AI (so not short as the AI-S), takes about 3/4 of a lap, feeling of the golden times. Ridiculous price for what it offers, if you like to fiddle with vintage lenses is a must buy.

Pros: Compactness, sharpness, bokeh swirly, flare resistance, price, vintage

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: One of the most beautiful surprises among the vintage goals tried. Unreachable value for money. Sharp even at maximum opening. Manual fire easily manageable thanks to the wide and generous dial in the calibration. Incredible flare resistance. It features beautiful portraits featuring its famous bokeh swirly. Impossible not to have in the kit.

Pros: Colors, sharpness already in TA, bokeh always nice, price

Cons: No one saw the cost of 30 euros

Opinion: Fantastic optics, as the detractors of Russian optics say, this copy of the Zeiss Biotar 58mm f2, is fantastic. I was lucky enough to find the latest version, 44M-7, at 30 degrees, never better spent money. The bokeh is always nice, at least until F2.8, but for the swirly it takes a bit of practice. RECOMMENDED STRA lens for those looking for original shots with a special touch. The only mole, suffers so much backlight, but if you like, flares are insured. Vote 9

Pros: Colors, sharpness (envied by so many goals even top-end), ridiculous cost, particular and interesting bokeh

Cons: Absolutely no one

Opinion: A very interesting vintage lens, I recommend it to anyone who wants to experience a manual lens without spending a fortune. Better on FF to have a precise 58mm and not be too long, it's fine even on APSC even if you have to consider the multiplication factor. Easy to find for the big productions that made but: check the lenses that there are no mushrooms and that all the nuts are in place. Having said this super recommended, the 50 euros best spent.

Pros: My specimen is a crazy blade and at the same time with an amazing bokeh and creamy vent typical of the Helios.... it lends itself to any photographic genre giving a very high quality especially considering that including shipping costs is around 50 €...

Cons: it does not hold the backlight very well and wrapped you create halos on the sides of the frame, but the backlight photos do the same and you can get original and creative results ......

Opinion: Optics to have both for the fantastic bokeh and for the 360° yield on any other photographic genre.... mounted on the a7 you have a very convenient pairing to carry around, even in the pocket of any jacket or kway, in fact it is the optics that I use most ... I have published very few shots made with this lens but in hard disk I have an infinite number of photos, more than anything, on the type of photographic bokeh, I could publish for years a photo a day ... I have nothing more to say than that, I deeply love this optics.... I add, on the a7r2 it's more than fine...
