Pros: Lightweight, equipped, leg that can be used individually as a support, central stem that can be removed

Cons: The 30 kg indicated as a capacity is a utopia, it flexes a lot.

Opinion: It is an excellent compromise of price and quality, if we do not have heavy equipment it is fine, but if there is wind it is not stable especially if you make long exposures, or in time-lapse. To appreciate the excellent case, it has the pointed feet that can be dismantled with the appropriate key supplied in the package with other spare parts, the same can be covered with rubber caps. As I said excellent, but it remains a compromise ..

Pros: Lightweight for the weights it can withstand, build quality, interchangeable feet, bag of excellent workmanship, height from the ground, independent legs, kit head, possibility of eliminating the central column

Cons: at the moment none

Opinion: Bought used, but practically new. I was looking for a light tripod and sturdy enough to take with me to the mountains (not really easy to put on the backpack). Overall the tripod has a feeling of solidity and is easily installed. The legs open and close with speed even when it is cold outside and gloves are used. The feet with which the tripod is supplied, are tips with rubber caps, removing them become like nails for soft soils, so you can literally plant them on the ground. The feet in question can be replaced with other feet for smooth surfaces, with the wide base that make a suer effect. Last positive thing, the possibility of detaching the central column and through an accessory provided in the package, you can install the camera directly on the base, thus saving a little weight (as the central column I never use it) The legs are completely independent both in length and width of angle, so as to adapt even to the most disparate terrains and places. For the ball head has nothing to say, well done for the use that I make of it. But comparing the weight to the tripod itself, the head weighs more than the tripod!!!

Pros: Price, lightness, construction quality, interchangeable feet, including bag

Cons: The head in the kit is not amazing, lack of leveling

Opinion: Bought in kit at 190€ with head and bag almost 2 years ago, used with snow, water, immersed in rivers, used with gusts that moved me... He never moved! At first the lightness made me forestire a lack of stability instead I had to believe again. Using it often in the mountains and on trips I was tempted by the younger brother for the weight, but I do not regret the choice. To use it well you need to make sure that you have the legs well opened, possibly you can hang the backpack on the central body to stabilize it further. Rubber feet can be removed and underneath are iron tips for better stability on slippery-muddy-cloudy terrain. Using it also on the ice I was tempted by replaceable "crampon" feet, costing 50€, but also without remaining stable. It can also be used in a single-seater trim, tried only out of curiosity just arrived but never felt the need to use it in this sense for my photos. The supplied "short" central column was immediately left in a drawer, having the central "normal" column in carbon (with a similar weight) and tipper I never felt the need. Perhaps the only lack compared to other tripods (higher price and higher weight) is the lack of the tilting central column, at first I considered it a great limitation but I confess that in use in 2 years perhaps once I really regretted it; in the end the lower weight saved from this "lack" for my use is irreplaceable. The head in the declared kit for 30kg (in case you have a lead photo machine and Hubble telescope optics) holds my 6Dmk2 with grip battery and optics (15-30 2.8 Tamron, 24-105 4 Canon, 70-300 Tamron), I believe that even with heavier systems and optics you can hardly exceed 7-10 kg; the only defect is the non-easily adjustable clutch and the relative ring with numbers 1 to 10 but usable only on 3 numbers, before and after a useless and unavausable scale. Would I buy it back? Yes. Also because the competition offers nothing comparable for the same price, or you go on 600€ easels or take smaller or heavier easels

Pros: Lightness, height, feeling of solidity

Cons: At the moment none, maybe scrolling the sections

Opinion: After some use I definitely consider it a good carbon tripod at a very good price. Light but stable even with not too strong wind when anchored. I also chose it for the height with non-extended central column, which allows, with head and reflex, to have the viewfinder at the level of the eye (even without fully extending the sections). Considering the diameter of the sections I consider this an advantage. From the specifications should prevent the entry of dust and water to the entire sections (and perhaps this is why they do not slip easily once the dial is loose). Great padded case with shoulder strap, handle and some space for any accessories. Paid just under 170 euros in online store. Recommended purchase

Pros: Lightness, height, material quality

Cons: Head ball in kit not quite excellent, bubble lack on body, lack hook without center column

Opinion: Bought for 240 euros in kits on Amazon and using a Chinese carbon tripod the comparison was clear. But it was when I made a comparison with my trusty Manfrotto 055xprob that I was surprised. Taller, lighter, diameters of larger stems... in a SHOW word! In the use I noticed some gaps: - the ball head is not really precise and when you try a composition at the time of tightening a few mm you lose it, but knowing the defect you just need to compose a few mm on and then have what you want to get (or ltremodo is still replaceable) - it lacks a bubble on the body of the tripod and for a time I looked for something that could fill that gap and in the end I opted for an adapter for tilting column (in the panoramas I like to be perfectly in bubble and so not I have to play with my legs, but directly with the head and I do even before) - missing a hook or a clip (I was used to hanging the remote control to the clip of the Manfrotto and here completely misses the hook if as me disassembled the central column, but I made a lace co n a musket to work around the problem)

Pros: Quality/price ratio, finishes, accessories, quality/weight ratio

Cons: I bought it just out making it come from Poland to 249 euros, today it is located in Italy with the best market price to 178 euros. The head in kit is medium-low but of quality with the inevitable millimeter of play in the fastening. You can not use the center column horizontally (competitors with same characteristics do not do better)

Opinion: The only regret that I bought this kit was to have paid 249 euros and bought on the fly because then the last. With the new supply the price went down to 229 euros and today it is also at 178 best price and 200 euros approximately on average. As said this the only regret. For me it was a bet, won and twisted only after trying it. Compared to the usual Manfrotto does not disfigure in anything. Made i China? Yes, but with excellent finishes and excellent quality. Initially there were not many accessories, the feet for snow and rock cost 70 euros, today the accessories are many and at low prices. Necessary the round feet because with the system of the steel tips, the standard ones offer a surface of contact with the ground really minimal or not stable. The articulated feet, easily replaceable with the tools supplied, cost 15 euros including shipping and make the system truly exceptional. The head does not consider it sufficiently precise and stable when working with 1DS3 and super Tele, nothing less than the other of the same band but with higher costs. Buying the monopod of the same series and its base at 3 feet, about 80 euros further, open endless possibilities. For example with the Manfrotto 393u head connected to a "telescope" and the monopod to the camera, I had no problems working with almost 4000mm equivalent! Also, using binary slider from 60 cm for video footage, it has no problems if mounted only on the tripod if you avoid the extremes of racing. I found it very good in combination with tripods to an extreme and monopod with foot stability base at the other end. Very positive tests with Gitzo heads GH3780QD, G2271M and G2380, all heavy heads and costing much more than the kit under consideration. Some have taken me for crazy for the pairing that would seem risky. I found myself well. As others say there is an opportunity, now offered by many, to use a leg as a monopod, splendid but my advice is as far as said to buy the single monopod as an aid in the most extreme use together with the kit. The center column and Li and you cannot use it horizontally or skewed for macro photos. Personally I found more practical and stable add the slider track connected to the ball head and the other extreme on the ground, is not mistaken for a millimeter and the macros are managed great! I got to try other similar statives of brand and not but I found nothing that could make me think of other product. Is it any better? Yes, but you have to go up 2 or 3 times as costs. Great for advanced and small professionals

Pros: Value for money, height, size from closed.

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: For about three months I have been using this tripod and I confirm the excellent purchase. For the price paid (less than 200 euros) really offers a lot of quality. The bag for transportation is very convenient and the tripod is really light. Despite the lightness is really stable.. Especially since I replaced the original feet, excellent for outdoor with the tips to fix in the ground, with the model RF 50 always original (excellent purchase for about ten euros)... offer a much higher stability (I use it very in interiors). There is also the RF version 80 (80 mm instead of 50 in diameter) but I think they are exaggerated. No problem with the tightening of the legs or with the center column. Useful the hook/weight to increase stability (but I never had the need). The head is really exceptional.... even if it is the first I use... but I find it really performance... never had any problems. I would recommend it without any problems.

Pros: Value for money, height, stability, dimensions from closed with head attached.

Cons: No one at the moment.

Opinion: After several exits with this new tripod I leave my opinion too. I come from a Cullmann magnesit 532, 3foot aluminum important both as size and range, stable and high therefore a good meter of comparison. This Genesis is extremely versatile and transportable in all situations, much smaller to be closed thanks also to the system of tilting the legs keeping in place the head mounted (BH-40) and much lighter thanks to the structures in carbon fibre. The release system of the sections of the legs in rotation and not with a quick release lever I find it very good, it is still quick and has a good tightening. Used with 1DS3 + 24/70 4 is, with Samyang 14/2.8, with 70/200 2.8 is II and with Zeiss 18/3.5 for shots up to 20 seconds (besides for now I have not had occasion to shoot) I have not encountered the slightest problem of instability, on no terrain , very good the system of steel feet embedded inside those rubber even if those rubber are a little soft but nothing particular and I would not call it a defect. Excellent value for money also saw the accessories with which comes out, one on all practice and very well made carrying bag.

Pros: I will read, well done, nice to see and practical to open and close, quick and secure windows, intuitive to use in the dark and perfect for those who use the Astroinsegiutore. It has the ballast hook and can quickly become a monopod.

Cons: Honestly no note, I read who precedes me who supports both dancer, I for light, stiffness and height I can not honestly find him dancer, especially when compared with other similar.

Opinion: I have a manfrotto befee, a 190 and more solid aluminum studio, I suffer in honesty the lever closure and I was looking for a solid tripod, light and with locking ring, the first thought and orientation was for the Manfrotto 190go that I could well try , the system of fixing the stems to the test I was very disappointed by blocking often and even more his upside, tears for a convinced of the brand, I opted on this Genesis C5 with his head in kit. It was love at first sight, I use it for many months and took the first place on all, light, practical in the use and compared to my manfrotto does not need special attention, solid and versatile even in softer soils such as snow and sand. I highly recommend it for the great qualities and not for last for the value for money which I think is unbeatable,

Pros: enough to read it for the size, certainly the price is great, you can not expect to find better

Cons: definitely does not support 30kg as they say, a little dancer (but I understand why)

Opinion: I have just arrived, so these words of mine take them with the tongs, are only first impressions, to be is built optimally, it is light enough so excellent, stability, mhm does not seem so stable as they say, I noticed that the rubber feet do lose a lot of stability and then wobbles all, if you remove or adapt other more rigid rubber feet (which I think I do) the tripod is really stable.rnFor what it costs is worth it, but going back maybe spend something more for a manfrotto.

Pros: --For its size is very very light, not bulky from closed. You can hook up to any backpack without too many worries for its reduced weight, which with the Manfrotto I can not do (in the end just buy a backpack more robuso from the side of the tripod and it resolves). --respectable equipment and good quality materials to the touch. --

Cons: It is not as described, 30kg are a little too many. Dancer, needs to be ballasted otherwise forget the stability. With a little sacrifice and save better take the Manfrotto.

Opinion: I could try this tripod a little while ago for the second time but this time for a week and along with my "hobby colleague" We went to the woods (with a C5 other than that I felt the first time I was very disappointed). Both with the C5 and the Manfrotto 190. I was undecided at the time whether to buy the 190 or the C5 and opted for the 190...... choice more than apt. The C5 is definitely more portable but if it is so dancer all its portability becomes useless. Tried with my D700 + Tamron 90 Macro has long dampening times while with the Manfrotto all perfect. A real shame, in a week of photographs if I did not have the Manfrotto I would have to throw my macros. While for photos to landscapes or static just wait for it to stabilize. In conclusion, I waited for the offer on the Internet and for €30 more I bought the Manfrotto, if I had bought this tripod I would have been disappointed because I would have ruined many pictures and made to wait too long.

Pros: Price, weight, stability, ease of use, equipment, materials

Cons: Lack of column usage horizontally

Opinion: Having a granite Manfrotto 055 and a small and light ManFrotto BeFree that I used exclusively for the macro needed something easier to carry but would allow the use of heavy-duty reflexes for photographic hunting. Tested in the field I could appreciate the lightness (just over 2 kg with BH-40 head in kit) the ease of transport with its 52 cm closed and the ease of use with leg rotation lock (although I still prefer the lever system I think is faster). Despite its lightness, it has always been solid and well grounded even at the full extension of the legs and without the need for further anchoring through the hook under the column which may still be helpful in critical conditions. Comfortable and practical to unlatch a leg so that it can be used as a monopod, I find it useful especially in sheds or in tight spaces. Included in neoprene padding of detachable leg (with Manfrotto despite the much higher price I had to buy it apart), practical padded carrying bag with an additional rubber cap for the legs. The only new thing I've found so far is the lack of the horizontal position, the position that is indispensable for still-life photographers or studio photographers. Conclusion: tripods with great quality / price ratio, incredible ductility (practically it can be used for almost everything) and dulcis in the sixth guarantee of the manufacturer.

Pros: Construction quality, weight, equipment, stability, impressive maximum extension, transportability, very fast vibration damping, fine materials, ah. the price!!!

Cons: At the moment no one

Opinion: Taken in kit with the BH40 ball head at an amazing price for this type of item €178.99 VAT included and.... Turnover!!!. At first impression it seems unseathful due to its low weight but, once weighed down and mounted the machine above becomes a column. 2,140 kg of weight with the aforementioned head mounted on it and with the central column long, a real godsather to carry it around. Before this I had an aluminum manfrotto with a three-axle head that weighed 3.4 kg and the difference is felt, especially since Genesis also offers a carrying bag, comfortable and well padded. The legs are with 4 extendable sections with screw mechanism....very comfortable and immediate. One of the three legs has a foam handle and can be unscrewed and turned into a monopid, among other things very comfortable even for video shooting... 2 products in 1. Materials and finishes are of a high standard and this product, as well as very practical and functional, is also beautiful to see. Tested with challenging optics... Pentawith 500 f5.6 old school.... all metal and glass... with duplicator, machine body and battery grip in a position close to the vertical and he did not make folds of any kind indeed.... I have noticed that, even extending it more than I have ever done with the aluminium tripod, the vibrations damp down much faster; returns stable almost instantly. The legs can be positioned at 3 different angles making it very versatile even if you need a wider, asymmetrical or macro photography base. The feet are covered in rubber and on the floor it has a discreet but not impressive grip. I purchased the 50 mm diameter suction cup feet apart to place it on smooth surfaces and flooring... the problem of low stability on this type of surface has been solved. Removing the rubber feet you discover the steel tips, useful for planting the easel in soft soils.... and remains them without blinking. Used with Star Adventurer astroinseguitor with equatorial base, declination bracket and counterweight bar (maybe 3 kg in all or even more) allows us to mount on a machine body with battery grip and a Pentacon 300 f4 (not a feather) and all this works very well, allowing precise stellar chases even beyond the recommended limit of the astroinseguitor even with 3 extended leg sections. The package contains a set of 4 brugole useful for maintenance or settings, a short column for use at the lowest height and the bag for transport with handle and shoulder strap, very comfortable and well padded. For this product the value for money is really high.

Pros: robust, stable, high, exceptional value for money, relatively compact size

Cons: nobody

Opinion: A tripod with exceptional value for money! The Genesis C5, made of carbon fiber, currently costs about 200 euros and promises a load of 30 kg. The first impression, just taken in hand, is very robust, even for the generous dimensions of the legs: the larger section has a diameter of 32mm and even the thinner does not drop below 20mm! Despite the "massive" legs, however, the weight is not exaggerated (1.7kg, head out) thanks to the use of carbon fiber, both for the legs and for the central column. In addition, the legs can be rotated by 180 degrees to close the tripod with the head between the legs without this protruding; so doing the tripod measures "only" 54 inches closed (including head), a reasonable length for a tripod in this category. With the standard column the maximum height is 183 centimeters, and even without extending the column we reach 160cm (which then become 175-180 with the head% 29; the minimum height is around 40 centimeters but can be greatly reduced by replacing the standard column with a short column (supplied) that allows the tripod to be lowered almost ground level. Alternatively, you can also use the upright column, rotating your legs by 180 degrees. The legs are in four sections and use the classic lock-and-release mechanism; I personally find the lever system slightly more intuitive, but you also get used to the rotating system, which I have been using for years with other tripods. To conclude, we come to the reach: Genesis declares 30kg, an extremely high value. The tripod is really very robust, but I think the 30kg range, keeping the maximum stability, can only be with the legs not too angular; if you open your legs with a strong angle, as when working at the minimum height, it is difficult for the tripod to support this weight perfectly. But in practical use, do notit will never happen to get to this weight, even with supertels and heavier machine bodies hardly exceed 7-8kg, which the Genesis C5 can easily carry with any tilt and extension of the legs. In conclusion, if you're looking for a high-quality tripod and robustness for heavy-duty optics, crawling photography, or even landscaping where weight and bulkheads are not a top priority, I definitely recommend the C5, a great product at an unbeatable price.
