Pros: Light, sharp, stabilized, excellent value for money

Cons: For what was designed nothing.

Opinion: We know it when we buy it that it is a dark optics and that probably at 230 mm drops a little in performance but nothing particularly serious. With its 345 mm equivalents it is a voyeur optics, in many surrounding it allows you to seize unexpected moments of life, on more than one occasion it saved my service, having left the heavy artillery at home. Because this is a really pocket optics, which is certainly plastic but which manages to amaze in terms of general yield, it is what you do not expect from 120 euros of optics bought used online, money that you thought was thrown away but that perhaps are among the best spent ever. If it lasted even just three years I do first to buy another one without worries.

Pros: Lightweight, exceptional value for money, quality plastic

Cons: Af in low light

Opinion: I admit to having been skeptical: then a friend made me try it and I began to change my mind to the point of buying it: I specify that my kit was exclusively composed of fixed bright optics so you can imagine .... Economic optics that offers enormous satisfaction and creativity, combined with the 16-50, close relative, forms a winning combination with a neglitry weight ideal for travel, you just have to be aware of the brightness limits, but it is not a big problem because the stabilizer is effective: excellent for landscapes and to take with you without major weight and bulk commitments , for those shots that are normally lost because you leave the kit at home: instead in a small bag with 900g there are the XE3, the 16-50 and the 55-230! And that quality definitely superior to the cheap equivalents of other brands

Pros: Quality of image in relation to the offer of competition for the price range. Lightness.

Cons: Very dark. It's an XC, a lot of plastic and it lacks the diaphragms selector.

Opinion: Arriving from zoom kits from other builders I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the image. The sharpness drops significantly, moving towards 230 mm, while remaining at excellent levels. It is practically unusable indoors because it is too dark, but when used outdoors with daylight it can offer satisfaction. It is located at great price (also new). Unfortunately fuji alternatives are very expensive, so it's the only choice if you're on a tight budget.

Pros: optical quality in relation to price - lightness compared to the focal

Cons: lack of the diaphragm diaphragm diaphragm - breath of air -- dark -- autofocus

Opinion: It is true that with little expense you take home a zoom tele with optical quality of respect, but you have to be aware of the compromises that you go to meet. Inside at 230mm does not focus! Aside from focusing manually, you can use the trick to focus at 50mm and then zoom in: usually (not always) it manages to get the fire right. Otherwise endless hunting, erroneous focus, impossible focus: for close-ups in the interior I would say that is not the right goal. I count on the outdoors, but also to shoot safaris and birds in flight you need good autofocus performance. In addition, it puffs air from the viewfinder (directly into the eye) when zooming out and forces you to use the bad front wheel (X-T30) if you want to adjust the diaphragm.

Pros: Lightness, sharpness, focal excursion.

Cons: Sense of fragility, but due more than anything to lightness.

Opinion: I bought this lens for a few months and I have to say that it is a lot of fun. Paid only .150 new. For those who do not want to spend much and have a very good zoom optics, this is the right choice. Especially for those who don't have this type of photo as a priority. The f6.7 is not a problem by raising the iso, now most mirrorless keeps the noise well at least up to 6400. I took some pictures of flowers with the wind moving them and they came out sharp thanks to the stabilization. I also really like blurry, certainly not at the level of other zooms, but much more expensive. Recommended.
