Pros: Image quality, film simulations

Cons: Ergonomics, price

Opinion: Complicated review. If I had to evaluate only the image quality it would be a 10 and praise, 40 megapixels well managed! But then we come up against some things that I don't like, some objective, others subjective. The single autofocus has no problems of course, the continuous one (for my uses) is not reliable at all. The ergonomics look nice, but it's not for me, small machine doesn't necessarily mean uncomfortable. The construction is not exactly at the highest level as it seems at first glance, some keys are a bit wobbly. Then the adjustable monitor in "photographic" style has its advantages for cockpit photography, but for vertical photography in crazy positions it is not good, here it depends a bit on your tastes and needs. In essence, a beautiful camera, which takes beautiful photos, but not without defects, taking into account the price that is asked which can certainly not be defined as cheap. For this reason, the grade is between excellent and good.

Pros: Construction. Lightness. Image quality. Stabilization. Built-in flash. Great for the amateur photographer

Cons: Lack of tropicalization. Viewfinder can be improved.

Opinion: I switch from Micro 4/3 to APSC not because the OM5 sensor does not satisfy me but, as an amateur photographer, I am attracted by the retro look of this camera in a compact but solid body. The camera is well built (you can feel the metal) and not having a flip-up LCD it is more suitable for photography. A miniature X-T5. Excellent JPEG files churned out with the various film profiles easily accessible from the ring on the left. Of course it costs € 1,400.00 and, those who buy it, have to deal not only with their own pockets but must take into account that spending a little more comes an X-T5 with double slot (useless for me), better battery (for my amateur photography this is fine) and tropicalization (this is also not an option that interests me). Therefore I vote 9.00, satisfied to be able to wear it around my neck without - obviously - exaggerating with ultra bright lenses (I just need a Viltrox 56 mm F 1.7 for portraits and the new Zoom 15-60 supplied) to be able to do a little bit of everything. Then if you are looking for cameras for sports / birdlife photography or with superlative AF you have to go to other brands supporting other types of cost (Sony, Canon, etc ..)

Pros: Lightweight and compact, beautiful jpegs, stabilized

Cons: Viewfinder at the limits of decency, usual problem of infinity focus with wide angles, the 4-way pad is missing, 40 mpx that are not useful to everyone, the tropicalization is missing with what costs new!

Opinion: A light and compact camera body to always carry with you, with the new 16 50 it forms a formidable pair. Too bad for having recycled the old viewfinder of the xt30, given the launch price and the novelty there was a nice new viewfinder. In the cons to always point out the usual problem of infinity autofocus, which is present on all fuji models. A serious mistake that has been slightly mitigated here (although to have a correct maf it is always necessary to use the distance scale or af on + mf). I won't dwell on this aspect because it is well explained on the internet for those who want to understand why with the fuji some shots are slightly or totally out of focus. However, a machine that is a pleasure to use if you accept the usual problems and deliberate limitations
