Pros: ultra-high image quality, sharpness, microcontrast, robustness and construction, tropicalization, brightness, TC compatibility, blurred

Cons: hood, tripod bracket

Opinion: An excellent lens, with an indisputable optical quality and a photographic yield with a lot of character. It winks at the sports photographer in the first place but also at those who do nature photography (field in which I use it), although it is not really long as a focal length, however it works well with multipliers (even with the TC 2X in addition to the 1.4x included in the purchase). With these it is like having 3 lenses in one with excellent quality (300, 420 and 600mm equiv.) The construction is solid and robust, does not fear rain and humidity situation, used in pouring rain in the mountains did not make a bend. It is rather heavy and stocky, but short and well maneuverable even in dynamic situations, the diaphragm ring is rubbed the right, soft instead that of the maf. Convenient fn buttons can be used for maf activation, maf lock and maf memory in combination with set button. Excellent stabilization, with TC2x installed I managed to get shots at 1/60 F4 freehand. The hood despite being aesthetically beautiful to look at and voluminous, is light but rather delicate, you have to be careful not to block the locking screw too tight, on the web I read about those who broke it and the replacement of the hood is anything but cheap, here you could do better. The tripod bracket is provided with standard ark swiss I would have preferred a little longer to use it also as a carrying handle but you can overcome it by adding a plate underneath. The sharpness is maximum already at F2 and is exceptional, with the TC1.4x with which it is supplied nothing is lost in terms of quality, with the TC2x instead you need to aperture from F4 up to F5 to have maximum sharpness, but at F4 it is good and usable. The price at which it is proposed is high but it is a professional lens and with a really important brightness, in the last two years it has been the subject of interesting cashback. Appreciated the semi-rigid and well-padded case with which the lens is supplied

Pros: Spatial image quality, relatively compact and lightweight, reliable and very fast autofocus, creamy and pleasant Bokeh, sharpness to all openings, valuable construction

Cons: Bokeh sometimes nervous, Diaphragm Ghiera in my opinion too soft

Opinion: I bought this lens because in my field of work (indoor sport) every diaphragm you earn is a blessing. A 200 F2 therefore represents the nirvana of the targets, even better than a 300 2.8 equivalent on FF. When I write this review I'm using it with satisfaction on an X-T3 and say I'm glad it's little. The quality of the images it gives and the reliability of the autofocus make it among the best canvases I have ever tried and hardly the detachment from the machine. A bonus is the 1.4x multiplier that comes and doesn't significantly degrade the image quality and speed of focus. You can safely say that they are 2 goals in one. Having tried almost all of Fuji's goals and giving it well that making a comparison between different focals doesn't make much sense, this XF200 is so good that I would say it's the best lens of the range.
