Pros: Solid construction, extremely sharp even wide open, high contrast, no distortion visible, no CAs

Cons: none ... you can't expect autofocus on a tilt shift lens... Shifting will not produce the dramatic results you may know from wide angel tilt shift lenses with their wide field of view since this is a longer focal length. But the main field of application for this lens will be the tilt feature anyway :)

Opinion: One of the sharpest lenses in the Canon lineup. Great performance even wide open with high contrast and no visible distortion or CAs. Solid construction, short minimum focus distance possible. So with additional extension tubes the lens can be used as a macro lens with great performance (e.g.: 0.6x magnification with 25mm extension tube). The tilt feature and the focal length makes this lens the ideal lens for product photography!

Pros: Sharpness, rendering throughout the frame, size

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: I use it in the studio for still-life and until you try it you can't understand what it has to offer. The ability to play with PDC and the "plastic" results it provides are something that no other standard lens can provide. I pair it with the Canon 100 macro so as to give a full range of commercial images to my customers, all on Sony bodies and mc-11 adapter that make the work smooth and easy.

Pros: brightness, focus distance, optical quality already at TA, compactness, weight, current despite the years, price (to date)

Cons: Nothing

Opinion: An optics that I have used for years in the various studios in which I have worked. Optics that for the world of still life is essential together with a macro. I say this because despite pushing so close it is not suitable for macro thrusts, but it is right that it should be so. Perhaps for densest sensors the L version would be more suitable but with 30mpx it defends well. The price is very advantageous especially in the used. you can find it for a few hundred €. It must be said that it is not an easy optics to use and handle, it serves technique, the idea already in the lead but above all patience. With the latest mirrorless the focus is a blast;) With the old 1Ds MK2 you would look...

Pros: RESOLUTION IN FF; IRIS PRECISION; TOTAL ABSENCE OF DISTORTION; TILT & SHIFT ALMOST FROM OPTICAL BENCH; PRICE BALANCED FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

Cons: DIMENSIONS GREATER THAN A NORMAL OBJECTIVE penalize IN CASE OF STUDY WORK OUT ... BUT WAS NOT BORN TO THIS, AND THAT ONLY 'hard to let it AFTER USED!

Opinion: When I was working in film in the studio I used a Mamiya RB67, then I switched to the world with the fantastic Hasselblad Zeiss lenses, but when it started the digital age that I had to do to work in the studio? rnPrendere an expensive back for Hasseblad? Or improve the park of my Canon lenses? rnPoi one day a colleague had me try the 90 TS-E and ... wow ... well damn I could do without the medium format (usually with the 90 TS-E I make two shots of the same object by moving only the decentralization of 'goal, then join all in Photoshop getting twice the resolution of the camera sensor) and photographed in studio with the Canon without regret Slide made with the quality of the Hasselblad.rnrnCONSIGLIATISSIMOrnrnps: Room Service technician also told me that new ob. Canon TS were improved as the quality of the lenses (see the 24 TS-E II) while regarding the mechanisms were better (more robust) than those of the old version as this 90 TS-E
