The Canon Speedlite EL-5 is a flash with guide number 60 (at ISO 100), with a coverage for focal lengths from 24 to 200mm (14mm with the wide-angle panel, built-in). The recycling time between each flash varies between 0.1 and 1.2 seconds depending by the power level; the charge is enough for 350 to 2450
flashes.
It has modeling light (but, unlike the EL-1, it does not have active cooling); it is possible to use up to 15 flashed EL-1 at the same time. The head can be tilted by -7 to 120 degrees and rotated by 180 degrees.
It is powered by a rechargeable Li-Ion battery Canon LP-EL; it measures 80 x 140 x 123mm and it weights 491g. It is weather sealed and it can be powered also with the external battery CP-E4N. It is in production since 2022; the current price is 550 €.
