Pros: Haptics, ergonomics, speed, AF, range of functions and features, quality, neutrality in skin tones, colours, CFexpress, volume in using, pre-recording, a jack-of-all-trades, in short: almost perfect!

Cons: A new, more powerful battery is needed for full functionality (compared to R5, R6, R6 II ...), the display frame could perhaps be a little bit more thinner (and so the display bigger), the viewfinder is nice – but the bigger one of the R5 MKII would be nicer, so many features = soon you'll need a driver's license to understand all the settings, IN SHORT: NOTHING IS WRONG! As I said: almost perfect!

After five years I retired one of my old R6s for this mk3 and I am very satisfied with it. The old R6 still remains very current but with this one I have a more reactive and even more infallible AF, setting the tracking in the right way it remains glued to the subject. I thought of using face registration but after seeing how the standard AF works I don't feel the need for it. I was amazed by the quality at high iso, it seems to me that it holds colors better than the mk1 despite the increase in megapixels, in case of extreme recoveries (for example getting a photo in the theater in which both the stage and the audience are well readable) it behaves very well. Obviously taking care of the exposure during the shooting phase. The only negative note: it absorbs more energy than the R6. I still exceed 1500/2000 photos with one charge but in weddings I get to use the third battery (Patona) because I don't like to use them below 30%, I'm afraid they degrade. I equipped myself with a powerbank and a USB charger so that I didn't have to beg for an electrical outlet, but it's something to take into account. The only flaws for me are the castrations if you use the old batteries (I doubt the wifi needs that extra energy boost) and the CFExpress which I think is necessary to be able to do the internal raw video. I would have preferred to have the possibility to use two SDs. It will be my ultimate car until the R6mk5 comes out.
