I did the test with long focal, f4 and with a person who ran to meet me. The result was great, I don't have a blurry photo! As for the sharpness, I'm really very satisfied. I often use it at f4 to create the blur and I find it very sharp. The 5 stop stabilizer is really great! To demonstrate this, I can admit that I took photographs at long focal length, maybe just 200mm, capturing the subjects in the foreground, and I stretched the time even to 1/8s! I add that I was not even in a comfortable condition because I made it standing and with the "well" room. Negatives I can't find. As for the weight and size they are in favor of this lens rather than the older brother f2.8. The lightness of the f4 makes it, in my opinion, more pleasant to use as it is less tiring for the arms. If you photograph in the evening and/or look for a more noticeable blurry one, then you need to pull out other dindins and do the muscles with your older brother. If you do not have this requirement I would say that the f4 is the best solution.

It has an exciting sharpness and then is light to carry around, when I had the 2.8 if very good I often leave it at home for the footprint and above all the weight. I also had the 70-300 F4/5.6 L which although smaller overall was still heavy and then I think that freehand already 300 mm are challenging. In any case stabilized or not if you want crystalline photos you have to use a shutter speed three times the focal length you are using (at least from 150 mm up). For the sake of the stabilizers do more or less their job, you can take home if you are in light critical photo still printable, but the crystal engraving you get only with the times before described.
