Pros: Focal range that allows you to cover many situations using only this lens. Good sharpness.

Cons: Purple franging, which is eliminated with software. It is difficult to find spare parts, but Fotocheckup of Perugia has repaired it.

Opinion: Although not light, it repays you for the possibility of covering almost all non-extreme situations, it does not have a true wide-angle focal length, it is not a photographic hunting telephoto but, for sports, ceremonies and other similar situations, it is fantastic. It was stopped for a while as it gave Err01, after countless searches, I realized that the problem was the diaphragm and its cable, then I found Fotocheckup in Perugia that repaired it, returning to use it both on the old 1Ds, and on the less old 6D.

Pros: 10x focal length from 35 to 350 a handyman, sharpness, pump zoom, L-series

Cons: No more spare parts, brightness, price and non-duplicate 1.4 2 X is no longer repairable

Opinion: I have tried this lens for 2 years and I have to say that it is a nice sharp lens fast AF speed hyper fast a lens to have in the right photo kit,a great everything do . Only sin the price and no longer assisted by Canon because vintage. This Canon policy is not permissible, at least in the l lenses L should have spare parts and assistance ALWAYS!

Pros: Very convenient to use, L series, more than good definition, no excess weight, covers a lot of focal lengths

Cons: There is no stabilization of spare parts if breaks are difficult to find

Opinion: Bought used two months ago, I am giving a lot of satisfaction, I can not easily unplug it from my 70D 1D Mark IV 6D reflexes, a super-zoom in the focus of the pump, especially in the moving subjects, agree with little light you have to use it with the tripod, but lets you go out with just one lens in a lot of circumstances. In my opinion if found at a reasonable price, it's a great buy. Vote nine +

Pros: 10X very versatile, very low cost of purchase and. all things considered lightweight.

Cons: not stabilized

Opinion: I this lens from a couple of years. Not much (I always use mounted 24-105) but it is the ideal lens to bring on vacation. I used to take pictures for sports cars and the MAF is fast. I had no problems MAF short distance because I hardly subjects so close, but in the medium distance / long I find it wonderful. Excellent price / performance. Certain that the lack of stabilizer restricting its use in difficult light conditions, but it is located at 600-900 EUR ... practically less than half of a 28-300 (which comes to 300 and not 350!)

Pros: Very versatile (more to FF for APS-C, where 35mm are often too long), lighter successor 28-300.Buon AF, for a hike 10x still a quality goal.

Cons: Lacks stabilization, minimum focusing distance much greater than the 28-300.

Opinion: I bought this lens used in the store in July 2004 and used it until the end of 2008. It was my first lens "EOS", and was the only one to two years of Canon D60, giving me a lot of satisfaction. Later I replaced it with the 28-300 I still and is more versatile (28 instead of 35, IS, minimum MAF fixed 67cm). rnLo still recommend to FF, although the absence of IS is felt: 350mm stabilizer becomes essential as soon as the light falls.
