Pros: Dimensions, weight, reactivity, electronics, construction, elegant gray color with imitation leather handle.

Cons: Ok the 9 points but only 1 cross

Opinion: I purchased this camera in May 2020.. with kit on 18 55.. the machine in question compared to other apsc of other marki I saw that it is well evolved, it lacks nothing .. its main lens should be a 15 85 f2.8 but there is therefore no 17 55 which would be very expensive. ( Better to choose a third-party one, in any case tried the Tamron 17 50 that I would like to buy and it turned out to be less fluid than the 18 55 that Canon supplies .. but the optical yield is much better, especially to detach the subjects from the background already at 17 or 20 millimeters, which the 18 55 will do only at 55 millimeters even with an aperture of 5.6 that forces the machine to be slow .. low times and high iso with obvious damage to image quality.) The car is good... I used 6d but carrying it around weighs too much and for those who have to buy it will cost twice if not more than double with additional expense of a good goal. Here you have a very good quality price, a great compromise image quality at the cost of taking a good lens after the 18 55 that a good gem .. but too bad for its castrated optics x the brightness and detachment of subjects. It has a very good electronics, a very good mechanics, an excellent compactness and lightness .. I also add that I fell to the ground from my hands on the concrete of the garage and still perfect and a slight scratch on the paint at the corner ..

Pros: Reduced size and weight, sensor, articulated display, live-view mode

Cons: Few keys/rings, 9-point AF; in some ways, worse than the "old" 200D

Opinion: I bought the 250D to enter the world of photography without too many pretensions, but with a body with good characteristics. The small size and weight make it one of the most compact SLRs ever and suitable for travel, at the same time, however, they make it a bit uncomfortable to grip (despite the good grip) with important optics that inevitably unbalance the weight forward. The build quality is discreet, there is no tropicalization; The 24mp APS-C sensor is the same as some higher-end models and is of good quality. Up to 1600 ISO the noise remains quite contained, above 3200 it becomes difficult to manage even in post. The camera gives the best of itself in live-view mode, in which you can take advantage of advanced functions and especially the Dual Pixel AF, always preferable to the obsolete 9-point optical viewfinder system and rather reliable even in video. The touch display is fully articulated and clearly visible even during the day. Like the latest Canon, this model is compatible with the Camera Connect app that allows you to quickly transfer photos / videos and use some functions remotely. The battery life is excellent using only the optical viewfinder and in normal conditions you can easily cover the day of use; otherwise, enabling the live-view and fiddling with the various settings will always need a spare battery. This Canon represents a good compromise between price and performance, however due to its limitations it remains a product that can only satisfy beginners or amateurs, despite the compatibility with the huge fleet of EF/EF-S optics. The "old" 200D, which I was able to use thanks to a friend, has extra keys on the left side, a richer mode dial, the AF illuminator (which on the 250D is "replaced" by the manually operated flash), a better feedback of the shutter button and the "central pin" on the upper slide, which enables support for third-party accessories. Despite the adoption of a newer processor, the Digic 8, which allows recording in 4K (with an important crop) and the Eye AF, the overall performance is almost identical to the model it replaces and from some points of view, as mentioned, it is a step backwards ...

Pros: Compactness, versatility, speed, battery life, new processor and a good sensor

Cons: Only a ring with which you will have to adjust everything and only 9 focus points

Opinion: Combined with the classic objective kit 18-55 f/4-5.6 is stm, this camera is lightweight and compact, suitable for travel. As for the sensor, that of the 250D is in my opinion discreet (but great for the price range in which it is located) but you have to be careful not to go up too much with the ISO, as already above 3200 a little noise is quite evident. The camera is very fast thanks to the latest generation processor that also manages to "hide" the noise at high iso and ensure a sufficient burst. The problems, however, are there. First of all, the AF points in the viewfinder are 9, sufficient in 90% of cases certainly, but which can create ugly surprises. In addition, there is only one ring from which, after pressing the appropriate keys, you can change the exposure parameters. In conclusion, a camera of the latest generation but that is oriented more to beginners who do not want to use the rings and see everything on the screen. The functions of the live view, in fact, are excellent and almost like the much more expensive cameras. To make the leap in quality, if you want to stay on the APS-C, you have to go on the canon 80/90D or on the full frame SLRs or even on the new mirrorless (R / even Rp). In short, THE right Canon to start

Pros: Lightweight, 24mp sensor, modern reflex functions

Cons: 9 points in the crosshairs

Opinion: I bought the 250d last summer and found myself there very well. Lightweight, it has many functions that in the SLRs of this price are not found. It has a fair sense that for my photos it is perfect. Noise at high ISOs can only be seen at very high levels. It is great for those who want to travel or simply do not want to spend so much on a REFLEX but find a lot of functions. Against in the crosshairs 9 focus points are very few in 2020

Pros: Great sensor, eye detection function, lightness

Cons: Removed some keys, 9 focus points

Opinion: I replaced my 200d with the 250d for both the new sensor, the digic8, the same as the big sister, which churns out fantastic photos and both for eye detection in live view. As negative points for me there are only 9 points of focus but if taken in live view the dual pixel autofocus is phenomenal, the other negative point is the fact that they have removed some buttons like that of Wifi, solvable by customizing those available. For the rest calculating quality/price, you can not wish for better, excellent handyman and if you use good optics you will take away nice satisfactions. I was undecided whether to take the 90d but at the same sensor, keeping my own optics, it made no sense to spend more than twice as much and have the same result at photo quality, if you want to make the leap of quality then bet on the RP (cheaper) or the R.
