Pros: Sharpness more than good, bright and given the angle of view I would say compact and well built

Cons: Non-ergonomic cap, some aberration in case of non-optimal lights

Opinion: I searched for it and finally found it after some time, it has a quality / price ratio that has no comparison, other fisheyes cost an eye, I highly recommend dedicating yourself to it and sooner or later a good deal is found. It is not a lens for everyone and everything of course, it should be used for projects or creative photos, it is bright, sharp (not excessively at the edges of course) and allows you to have shots that would otherwise be impossible. On its side it also has an enviable portability, you feel that the construction is of other times but with a really satisfactory size. As soon as I start using it properly (I've only done some tests) I'll post some pics.

Pros: Angle of view, sharpness even at TA, excellent construction, price, bright.

Cons: In manual focus it is a "grinder", the cap is removed (solved with a round of Teflon, the one used by plumbers, on the hood :))

Opinion: I was looking for a wide angle for the 5DIII, Sigma I do not trust, even if at these focal lengths it is difficult to run into the f / b focus, the '8/15 Canon too expensive. I had the opportunity to try this and what to say, fantastic, it was just what I was looking for, with the adjustments of CR and PS "fix the photo" and you find yourself a crazy angle of view with distortions much more than acceptable. For me a very good lens.

Pros: Optical quality, sharpness, price, size

Cons: It is addictive. Ugly lock ring for manual focus that moves between the fingers loose (a non-problem)

Opinion: Purchased after mulling over it a lot of time and almost without experience with fisheye (I only own another one for 6x7, used very few times), it damn amazed me for all its good qualities. I'm at a stage where the wider the better, I use it to photograph people. I was struck by how it can be used profitably, being very careful, obtaining very natural results in shots where perspective correction would do worse damage than fisheye curvature: often it is enough to compensate for the crushing at the edges to have a wonderful yield and an infinite angle of view. And if you want a super ultra wide just click in the LR profile corrections and here are just perfect lines. Neesun ultra wide is simple to use, you have to understand the optimal distances and shooting conditions, with 16mm it was the same. Here it is more complex in some ways but perhaps also more exciting. Get a fisheye!

Pros: Excellent resolution at the edges what is not common for fisheye, made excellent optics

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: I apologize but I bought the FD version and this I speak even though I think Canon has at least maintained the standard even for the latest autofocus version. The FD also has three filters in it, which can be inserted by dedicated dial (orange yellow and red) that are very practical to use in the b/n. Great for photos of architecture and landscape very valid for close-up close-ups with a focus background. I understand the difficulties in autofocus as even in the manual version it is not always easy. After all, it is a 15 mm f2.8 and the depth of field excels at all diaphragms. I bought it almost new at 300 degrees, a real Gem of Canon.

Pros: Sharpness, lightness, portability, non-plastic

Cons: Scratch-prone lens (like all wide thrusts), cap, paint quality

Opinion: Taken visibly used in the store, without a box, at 300 euros (so with one-year warranty cover). I've been trying it for less than 24 hours but I've already realized that it's one of the best goals that exists. Blade already at 2.8, AF very fast, in manual the dial is hooked to the sealing, which is apparently inaccurate, but this could prove to be a problem right in macros, where however it tends to illuminate and close. So there's everything you need. I deny that the angle of the field is flat: it is slightly less than 180 degrees, maybe 170/175. Light purple fringing in the specimen tested in the presence of strong TA reflexes, which could be accentuated on very resolute files, and which are partially deleteable in PP. Better image quality than sigma 10 2.8 for aps-c, but perhaps its real competitor could be the 8mm samyang, which beats easily. In fact I think it is difficult to find a better lens on the wide-angle pushed: the sigma 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6 first series is not even up to the fixed of the same house, and beats it with the Samyang. The tamron 15-30 first set actually stands behind him, but he doesn't have such a wide angle of field, it's not fisheye, so necessarily distorts the sides. The 17-40 canon is quite emotional at 17 because of those blue skies, but it's F4... Sorry not to usm: it always seems to be discarding some glass with metal. Likely alternative to tilt & shift for architecture and interior photos, as long as you use 5ds/dsr, straighten the distortion and resize to conceal the loss of quality at the sides.
