Pros: Relatively good robustness; cost

Cons: Fluidity; weight...

Opinion: I've been using this gimbal for a year now and I have to admit that for this price range it's not bad at all. There is nothing wrong with it except for a few elements that could have been improved; But for this price, you can't ask for more. I have used this gimbal with different lenses such as: 300 2.8, 100 400... And it performs pretty well. For wildlife photography, this gimbal is great if you are interested in a good product at a relatively low price. If you are interested in something better, I recommend the following: SIRUI PH 30, LEOFOTO PG1, GITZO GHFG1, WIMBERELY WH200, PROMEDIA GEAR KATANA JUNIOR, BENRO GH5C, BENRO GH5C MINI... There are several gimbals, some with little panning regulation and others that allow for more precise adjustment. This gimbal does not allow a precise panning adjustment and the tilt mechanism has a bit of play when not fully tightened, which is quite normal for this type of gimbal. In short, this is a good gimbal even to use with fairly heavy lenses; The Benro GH2 doesn't really have any major flaws and doesn't excel at anything special. If you want a medium-solid gimbal that can handle weights over 4kg without any problems and that fits within a budget of 300 €, this is practically the only one that falls into all these features. I've used it in the snow and rain without ever encountering any problems, so the durability of this gimbal may be the only thing it "excels" at for me.

Pros: Reasonable price for performance.

Cons: Uncertain adjustment of the swing arm and lack of progression in the clutch.

Opinion: I've had this head for a couple of years used with supertele 400 and then 500mm and body with battery grip. It did its job all in all but I was always bothered by the lack of progression of the clutch, especially of the swing arm and the positioning that was always a bit imprecise. You do the framing and lock the head but you're never sure if it locks exactly where you want it to do. I replaced it with a Wimberley Gimbal Head II and it's a whole different ballgame. Absolute precision and perfect clutch adjustment. All in all, I don't feel like recommending the Benro, although some friends tell me that the new model (GH2N) is much improved.

Pros: Robustness, price

Cons: A certain difficulty and insecurity in inserting the slide with the lens into the housing

Opinion: I bought used GH2 at a great price about a year ago. I mount it on an ultra-old Manfrotto 190 very early series and use it to do birdlife with Canon 600 f/4 + 1D and, sometimes, with 1.4x. Everything is very stable despite the almost 5.5 kg of weight. I just find it a bit difficult and insecure to fit the rail and lens into the housing. I would also like the screw fixing the rail on the lens to be a little longer, giving more security to the complex. Excellent fluidity and friction, grade 9.

Pros: Price/quality ratio - Fluidity - Robustness over time

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: I've been using it for many years, initially with Super Tele and super zoom -with and without extender- and in recent years with SuperZoom such as the various 150-600mm Tamron G1, Sigma Contemporany and the heavier Sigma Sport. All DSLRs have fitted the Battery Grip to improve balance and the arca swiss plates used have always been longer than the foot of the lens collar, always to find a perfect balance. I am fully satisfied and it seems that his behavior has remained unchanged over the years. For lighter rides I can still take advantage of the 2kg s.zoom and the Benro Gh.

Pros: Robustness, price

Cons: Fluidity adjustment

Opinion: I have been using it for a year on Gitzo tripod. It supports very well 500 f4 + Nikon 850 with bg + (when needed) tc 1.4. I would have preferred a better chance of regulating fluidity, but definitely great product and excellent quality/price. To buy without hesitation if we are interested in barbell heads. I point out that I've never tried Wimberleys.

Pros: Fluidity,price,robustness

Cons: So far, nothing

Opinion: Great barbell head. Use it with the Sigma 150-600 Sports and Nikon D500. For now no defects found, mobility and fluidity is excellent and there are no uncertainties in movements. Mounted on the manfrotto 055 "old" stand, it is an excellent pairing. I find the lever very comfortable to raise the height of the lens. The friction is not there, in the sense that, either you close all the knobs and it's all locked, or you unlock them in such a way that it is free in its movements. Recommended.

Pros: Solidity and fluidity

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: The use mounted on a tripod Manfrotto 055 XPROB with D700-150-600 Tamron. I felt good from the first exit, the construction is solid and results in excellent stability, the clutch adjustments are just as high-performance. I wanted to do the shopping once and for all but without fainting,.. And in hindsight... I'd definitely do it again. Good light Raffaele

Pros: Robustness, precision, price

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: Bought a few days and tested in the lagoon at Orbetello with my Nikon D810, 300mm 2.8 lens and 2x duplicator. Stable and fluid for flying subjects. Purchased in Hong Kong at a very good price compared to what it would cost in Italy, I came in original packaging, all perfect a real deal. I'm really happy

Pros: Value for money, material quality

Cons: Nobody

Opinion: I have no experience with other gimbals but I have been using Benro Gh-2 for a year with great satisfaction. Set up on Benro mach3 and with attached Nikon D610 + sigma 150-600 sports I can say that everything is very stable. I make naturalistic and avifauna in particular and the Gh-2 ensures great stability and fluidity even for flying subjects. RnFor the clutch controls in both vertical and horizontal axes, they are very close to locking with respect to other heads ..... no problem anyway, just know it and adjust the position. Very good clutch and fluidity even with heavy weights (D610 + Sigma 150-600 = about 4 kg)
