Pros: All

Cons: nobody

Opinion: I have had several duplicators of various brands, mostly Nikon and I must say that all of them did their duty but with a slight loss of values such as sharpness and color rendering. This Sony one, very compact, has a stratospheric performance so much so that, since I bought it used four months ago, I have not removed it from the 200-600 and now I consider that I have an 840 mm at full power. I don't care about the loss of brightness because I usually only hunt for photos when the light is good and then I love to shoot at relatively close distances. Therefore, to have a decent PDC, which at short distances from the subject is almost always insufficient to cover it all, closed apertures are welcome.

Pros: LOW WEIGHT , AUTOFOCUS , VERSATILE , OPTICAL OUTPUT

Cons: PRICE , COMPLEX TO UNDERSTAND AND USE

Opinion: HELLO EVERYONE, I SAW THAT THERE ARE VARIOUS IDEAS ABOUT THIS ACCESSORY BUT NOW I TELL YOU MINE. - I HAVE HAD THIS MULTIPLIER FOR A MONTH AND I USE IT ON SONY A7RIV COUPLED WITH THE 200-600G WHERE I USE IT MAINLY FOR NATURALISTIC. - OBVIOUSLY USING IT ON THIS LENS BECOMES A 280-840MM F9, ALSO REACHING 1260MM F9 USING THE CROP ON THE SENSOR (WHICH ON MY CAMERA BECOMES A 26MP APSC) - NOW I WANT TO GO INTO DETAIL SAYING THAT THIS ACCESSORY IS NOT AT ALL SIMPLE TO USE (ESPECIALLY ON A LENS LIKE MINE), LET'S SAY THAT YOU HAVE TO GET FAMILIAR AND FIND \\ UNDERSTAND HOW TO USE IT AT ITS BEST REALLY GOOD RESULTS. - THE AUTOFOCUS FROM WHAT I FIND WITH MY EQUIPMENT LOSES VERY LITTLE IN SPEED AND RESPONSIVENESS AFTER ALL BECOMES AN F9 - THE OPTICAL YIELD IS EXCELLENT CONSIDERING THAT IT IS NOT SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR THE 200-600, THE DETAIL IS HIGHER USING THE MULTIPLIER THAN THE USE OF THE CROP GIVEN BY THE SENSOR OBVIOUSLY OBTAINING MORE DATA \\ RESOLUTION ON WHICH WE CAN THEN APPLY OUR CHANGES. I OFTEN SEE NEGATIVE COMMENTS ON ITS OPTICAL PERFORMANCE, BUT I THINK THEY ARE DUE TO MISUNDERSTANDING AND INCORRECT USE, BECAUSE I CAN ASSURE YOU THAT THE OPTICAL YIELD IS HIGH BUT DIFFICULT TO USE ESPECIALLY ON CAMERAS THAT DO NOT HAVE A POWERFUL AUTOFOCUS AND ADEQUATE HIGH ISO YIELD (SUCH AS AN APSC LIKE THE 6400 WHICH CERTAINLY HAS AN EXCELLENT AUTOFOCUS, BUT THE YIELD AT HIGH ISO OBVIOUSLY IS NOT COMPARABLE TO A FULLFRAME) - IT IS VERSATILE SINCE IT IS REMOVABLE THUS ALLOWING YOU TO HAVE + RANGE AND COMBINATIONS OF FOCAL LENGTHS AND APERTURES ACCORDING TO THE NEEDS THAT THE SITUATION REQUIRES. - IN THE CONS I MENTIONED ABOUT THE COMPLEXITY OF USE. THIS REFERS TO THE FACT THAT MULTIPLYING THE FOCAL LENGTH OBVIOUSLY YOU HAVE TO ADAPT, UNDERSTAND AND THEN SET YOUR SHOOTING VALUES DIFFERENT FROM THOSE WE ARE USED TO USING WITH THE SAME LIGHT. THE MICROMOVY IS AROUND THE CORNER, AFTER ALL WE ARE TALKING ABOUT FOCAL LENGTHS FAR BEYOND THE MOST WIDESPREAD.

Pros: none in my case

Cons: Very bad yield on sony A6400 + Sony FE 200-600 mm

Opinion: Enticed by the numerous positive reviews, even with the use of the same equipment as me, (machine + lens), I wanted to try this accessory. Well, even in optimal light conditions, at ISO 200 and at focal lengths at 50% of the maximum potential with still subjects, the photos are at first glance decent but, already at a minimum magnification, show an unacceptable noise with evident grain and lack of optimal focus that make them unusable. I would be really curious to see some photos (100%) on quality monitors of those who have released exciting reviews.

Pros: Optical rendering, versatility of the converter.

Cons: Af poorly performing on 200-600 and sony A7r2/3.

Opinion: Leaving aside the use on supertele that I am not lucky enough to have available, I find myself partially in disagreement with what was written in the previous review. I used the converter on A7R2 and A7R3 with the 100-400 GM and 200-600 G respectively. From an optical point of view the loss is there; but if the subject is well lit, you use an adequate time and there are no atmospheric distortions you get sharp photos and above all sharper than the crop factor. Below some examples ---- https://www.juzaphoto.com/galleria.php?l=it&t=4064260 ---- https://www.juzaphoto.com/galleria.php?l=it&t=4058229/https://www.juzaphoto.com/galleria.php?l=it&t=3998887 ---- https://www.juzaphoto.com/galleria.php?l=it&t=3971569 ---- https://www.juzaphoto.com/galleria.php?l=it&t=3946719 ---- https://www.juzaphoto.com/galleria.php?l=it&t=3863268 ---- https://www.juzaphoto.com/galleria.php?l=it&t=3863259 ---- AF side the 100-400 continues to behave very well while the 200-600 limps. In my opinion, it remains an interesting tool to have in support.

Pros: Nobody

Cons: Embarrassing loss of notidezza

Opinion: Purchased thanks to the various positive reviews but just mounted on a7r3 with 200-600 I realized the absurd crap ... a photo with the 1.4x not croppata is less sharp than a 100% cropped photo without 1.4x. I strongly advise against it, you earn much more by using the machine in apsc mode which in the end has the same magnification. You will have less mpx on the output file but much, much sharper.
