Pros: all you need and more

Cons: limits of the small sensor in 1% of the fotos

Opinion: I use Nikon ff, Olympus and Hasselblad cameras. The Hasselblad files are miles better then the other, and ideal if you do fotos of 1m x 1m and more, I recently did a Fotobook with pictures of my grand son , I just choose the best from last year and reviewing the book (A3) , I can not tell which one is made with what camera. At this size there is no difference. when I show the book to other people, they practically all find 2 fotos better then others, one done with Nikon ff and a Jupiter 44-1 58mm found on eBay for a few € and the other with a Hasselblad XD 80mm. For the rest, the Olympus does a fantastic job. The first difference in landscape photography is what you are ready to carry around, you can take the Olympus with a 12-40mm, put the extraordinary 8mm in your pocket left and the wonderful 75 mm in the other and you go practically for every situation without needing to find a specialist for reeducation of your back after the trip. Of course, their are limits, described in other posts here , limits in comparing the output by sensor size, but 1. you can compensate a lot of these with software and 2. do you really need that for 99% of your images? It makes me think of a lecture I once heard in business school: "when is enough enough?" . I practically do not use anymore the Nikon Z, which is certainly a very nice camera, I take the Hasselblad for critical landscape work and for the rest I enjoy my Olympus, newly with the outstanding 15-400mm.

Pros: Build quality, Tropicalization, Technology, Weight and overall dimensions, Ergonomics

Cons: Few.. autofocus and the Oly menu maybe.

Opinion: Simply gorgeous, I did some road trips and some work on it for about 5 years (bought in 2019 and sold in 2025), perfect almost always and hardly misses a beat, for the amount of technology and specs it has weight and bulk are fabulous (more solid and slightly heavier than the entry-level), focus stacking, live composition, impressive stabilization, I took 2 second shots by hand, in short, it is useless to praise the merits, they are many .. I will first tell you what are (humbly in my opinion) the "semi-defects": - the Olympus menu, nothing is missing and if you look well you find everything but I have never digested it, but there is the quick menu that helps a lot. - noise at ISO 6400+ : in addition to the noise slight aberrations towards magenta or green, nothing that cannot be solved in POST and cmq more an MFT limit than Oly - Autofocus is very good, but not perfect, the eye recognition left me hanging more than once, and during the burst (which is still scary today) it is even more boring. - Live ND : So.. this should be a virtue, I was hoping to leave the ND filters at home.. but almost always it was not enough for long (LONG) exposure, also I never liked the viewfinder feedback, I always felt the lack of a plate in front of the lens. - HighResShot (Both 50M handheld and 80M tripod): this is also a great advantage, and Olympus was (if I'm not mistaken) the first ever to implement it, however the comp in the machine often requires you to have to wait (quite a few seconds) for the high res to be cooked, I would have preferred a function to be able to decide whether to do it later on the PC - the accompanying applications: Om Workspace / Capture / Image Share... I've always found them not very streamlined and not always up to date, quite nervous especially when I happened to do live captures with OM Capture and it went into hang/crash often and willingly. incidentally, I had to sell it but it will remain forever in my heart, as well as the Olympus lenses.

Pros: Ergonomics, stabilization, sensor cleaning, everything.

Cons: Nothing special

Opinion: Finally after 1 year and a half I can express my humble opinion on this wonderful camera. I'm not a photographer and to be honest this camera goes beyond what an amateur photographer really needs. Anyway I found an offer and in short, I have it. Let's start Excellent ergonomics Many keys all comfortable and customizable Perfect weight and size, neither large nor small Example with the 20 mm lumix becomes almost a compact Tropicalized, well made, from the flaps to everything else. Mouse connections there is everything you need from Wi-Fi to USB c which allows the camera to also be powered e.g. on videos to the microphone, headphones etc. Very complete menu, and there is also the super Olympus menu very convenient. If you shoot in JPEG there are many valid profiles and the customization is quite complete. Simulated ND filter that works well (up to nd32 I think) Super fast burst, even too much 2 SD cards, battery that lasts a long time Autofocus very fast in single In tracking sometimes it gets lost or does not lock well but they are small things 4 customizable modes Mechanical shutter guaranteed 400,000 shots And the cleaning of the top sensor: I have never cleaned it and it is like new, not even 1 speck of dust. I also had another olympus (M10 mk 4) and also that zero cleaning and perfect sensor. Excellent image quality. Super quiet up to iso 1600 3200 is fine 6400 needs a bit of denoise. Between 6400 and 12800 is also usable. Anyway remember that with the micro 4/3 there is no need to ask for the aperture a lot, the bright lenses do not cost a lot and then there is the stabilization: Stra efficient! Even 5 sec handheld, with a little attention and 1-2 seconds on the agenda High resolution shot that in some cases is really useful: For example to make a macro to a still object or cmq a landscape, if you need more megapixels there is the possibility (50 freehand 80 with tripod) Excellent viewfinder and then simulate that of reflex cameras if you want Points not weak but in shadow Display " normal" It does its job but it's not great Certain functions can't be used together (or I'm not capable of it) such as high resolution shooting + self-timer If you do long exposures you must Always use the app to shoot without touching the camera In short, in my opinion an excellent camera that I would recommend to everyone.

Pros: Top of the range, reliability. Tropical. Batteries that last a lot. Excellent ergonomics. Good grip grip. Weight. Materials, build quality. Stabilization.

Cons: Menu button on the opposite side. I would have preferred the ignition and the menu button all on the right so as to do everything with one hand. But it is my opinion, for many it will not be a problem.

Opinion: Fantastic machine. It's a pro. You can work on it, as an amateur photo it is you can say definitive, you can do anything with it. It was x me a switch from the m10 II. You can hear so much difference, ad-c tracking and stachink livend etc etc. So much stuff. Still in 2025 I would recommend it to everyone. Fantastic high res from a tripod. Even freehand. But Panasonic gives fewer artifacts on moving things. From photo amateur, or traveler if you put them on a 12 100 You forget it. If you put on a 17 1.8 or a 20 1.7, despite the grip it still fits in the pocket of the jacket. It's not like the 5 or 10 series in terms of compactness, but for being a flagship you can't ask for more. Promoted

Pros: Speed, ergonomics, lightness

Cons: menu that could possibly be improved

Opinion: Taken a short time ago I have to say that it is a fantastic camera. I'm coming from Nikon D4 and the weight difference can be felt. This Olympus is lightweight, fits beautifully in the hand and has superb speed and image quality. Fantastic stabilization system and new shutter at 400,000 shots. The menu can be improved but the quick menu is perfect. I use it with the 12-40 with which it goes very well.
