Pros: Lightweight, Tropicalization, Solid construction, Excellent travel optics to always have in your bag especially with compact Olympus/OM System camera bodies of the 10 and 5 series.

Cons: Focus ring without end stop.

Opinion: Lens purchased as a kit in 2019 with OM-D E-M5 Mk2. It is gladly carried in every bag, the weight is really low and not tiring even for a whole day. The photographic quality, for me as an amateur photo who creates memories for personal/family use, is excellent. I don't make videos with the camera so I don't pronounce. In recent years I have not had any problems, the lens does not extend and always remains solidly in place despite the fact that there is no lock button, no dust has ever entered, no creaking or hesitation of the components. Olympus places it in the Premuim family of its lenses and it shows (I also have a Nikon 18-105mm lens for DX bought new and that one is built cheaply, you can understand it by touch and handling it). Since it is a travel superzoom that is always with me, it tends to accumulate, over time, dust in the attachment guides of the lens hood, everything is solved with a brush and a toothpick. At dusk, as is physiological for lightweight superzooms, it is better to use a tripod, an adequate shutter speed, remote shooting with the App or the self-timer. Or, for static subjects, you can leverage the excellent in-camera stabilization of the Olympus/OM-System bodies. If all this is boring, you mount a lens with an adequate aperture and speed. F4 at 14mm, F4.1 at 17mm, F4.3 at 20mm, F4.7 at 25mm, F5.4 at 42mm, F5.6 at 100 to 150mm. Highly recommended lens, vote 9!

I did an afternoon outing with the OM-D E-M10 IV and on a beautiful bright day I didn't miss anything. The portability of the kit sometimes becomes a primary need.

Pros: Flexibility, tropicalization, compactness and lightness. Fast and precise focus.

Cons: Softness at all focal lengths, but especially after 60/75mm.

Opinion: It is compact and light and is often located at just over € 300. Very convenient for travel, includes hood. It can be a great travel companion. Unfortunately the sharpness did not satisfy me, it is inferior to the Panasonic 12-60 (not Leica) and much (but much) lower than the Olympus 40.150rII, the cheap and plastic one. Clear that it is only one goal, so the race is unequal against two. But once you see what you do with cheap plastic is very difficult to accept the shots "smudge" of 14-150 II.
