Pros: Sharpness at all fl's , light, small , good IQ , good contrast ,

Cons: nothing ( especially given the price )

Opinion: They don't call it the plastic fantastic for nothing . A must have for any m4/3 kit . Pair it with a wider zoom like the pana 14-42 II and you're good to go for vacations/hiking/beach etc..Even portraits at > 100 mm Bought it used for 70 euros , wanted a long zoom for vacations ( I like the 40 to 100 mm fl a lot ) without breaking the bank . Absolutely blown away by the lens . As good if not better than my old 4/3 70-300 . Weighs nothing , with my Em5 ideal holiday combo . Highly recommended .

Pros: Lightweight, sharp, economical

Cons: considering the cost I don't know

Opinion: I have owned this lens for a long time, but I have never given it the opportunity to prove itself to me; I used to put other long or fixed zooms in front of it, even vintage, but I didn't trust this very light, very cheap, slightly dark object... It ended up that I put it in the photographic kit of the second house together with the Olympus e-m10 II and a couple of other lenses that, yes, if ever I had to take some photos and I didn't have anything else, maybe completely without it I wouldn't find myself. I wasn't supposed to photograph a musical event, otherwise I would have brought other equipment from home, but then and there I collect what I have and go. Given the circumstances I had to rely on the 40-150 and shoot at least at 3200 iso, but most of the time at 6400 iso, stuff I didn't think I would ever dare to do with that camera there and that sensor there. I feared disasters. And instead. I found an embarrassing amount of "right" shots, with the blur I wanted and the details I didn't expect, a general quality that has nothing to do with the weight and economic value of the photographic material used, but much, much higher. Separating the merits of both (I will write about the camera body elsewhere), the lens has given a superlative proof, much superior to the poor reputation that accompanies it (the "plasticone"), in terms of sharpness, precision of the zoom and colors, very neutral; It's clear that if you need a wider aperture, oh well, it doesn't have it, there's nothing to do, and the bokeh is made more of soft gradations than of precise detachment from the subject, but at full aperture it's already very usable. The Panaleica 35-100 (to say about a lens I have and with which I can compare it) is better, not much, but it is, but it is heavier, less long and costs 6/7 times more; The mere fact that a comparison between the two gives me food for thought is already significant. In short, a nice surprise.

Pros: Lightweight, compact, sharp

Cons: I didn't find any considering the type of lens

Opinion: Used for a few months combined with a panasonic g80, it was a revelation for me that I had never even used the micro 4/3 system. Used in good light it has flattering results that I really didn't expect, even in close-up shots. At full aperture it does better than other lenses in the same category. I didn't find any chromatic aberrations either. Considering the second-hand price and what it offers, I can only recommend it.

Pros: Excellent yield, insignificant price, Small and compact

Cons: Nothing

Opinion: I start by saying that this optics is a big problem, just the fact that you can take home an equivalent 300, sharp and compact at a street price very close to € 100 makes it a big problem. That? Because when you want to change the system (for a thousand thousand possible reasons) you will realize that there is simply no substitute for this lens for other systems, or rather it certainly exists but it will force you in any case to a decidedly different outlay. An example, the fuji 55-200 to date, on a well-known online sales site is € 695, the 50-230 is close to € 400, Only Sony today offers an alternative positioning itself just above the price of this in review (which is still double). The m43 system is composed of many beautiful lenses and of extreme quality but this, in its small way, proves to be fundamental. It is small, sharp and light, in my opinion an optics that should not be missing in the m43 kit if you have a better lens.

Pros: IQ, cost, lightness

Cons: Construction

Opinion: Let's clarify something that is not understood very well when inquiring about this lens: the image quality is there. Then it will certainly not be that of much more noble optics, but you will be amazed. What's not to like? The construction is truly low. But given the cost you have to take it into account. Optics highly recommended for sporadic use!
