Pros: Color rendering, sharpness, bokeh

Cons: Slow AF, limited focal length (especially on the wide-angle side)

Opinion: Optics that I literally loved on FF. Used mainly on D800E (so 36 mpx) and gave me wonderful shots: faithful and rich colors; very very nice bokeh. For the price (if you find a healthy specimen) it is a must have. I, personally, have used it a lot. The only note (but it is an outdated lens...) is the slowness of the af...

Pros: Sharpness already from F2.8, cost of used today really inviting, saturated but not "distorted" colors, light and excellently built, internal zoom

Cons: Many specimens lose treatment and create halos (you have to be very lucky in choosing the specimen"

Opinion: I got this NOS lens at a very low price a year ago, today I can spend a few words. I use it in every one of my outings, absolutely everything is done with it; From portraits to landscapes, from street to life style, for me it is the lens that absolutely must always be in the backpack, I use it with FX sensor. It has wonderful detail, always sharp even at TA and I have never encountered any aberrations under any circumstances. It is made of metal but curiously it weighs very little, having also the internal zoom it is a gem "THAT CAN BE DEFINED AS NO LAUGHING MATTER" (Cit. Dogui-Yuppies). It has a very mellow blur which makes it great in portraits as well. Very vivid and saturated colors but absolutely not distorted. You have to get used to the pump mechanism, for the younger or less practical it could be a hassle but after an hour you get used to it. For this characteristic this lens was also called "the vacuum cleaner", but I honestly leave the legend to the storytellers, never had any problem. Many specimens lose the coating to the lenses making the lens unusable (not in my case) so be careful when choosing. Prices are very low today and it is in my opinion a definitive lens, remember that it is 2.8 on the entire focal length, therefore a PRO. I highly recommend it, also because then that you try there it is absolutely impossible not to always have it behind. It doesn't suffer from spinning with its lens hood, without I don't know because I've never taken it off.

Pros: Colors, construction, weight

Cons: suffers parasitic light, sharpness at the edges

Opinion: I highly recommend everyone to try this lens at least once given the charm of having to shoot again by manually managing the focus except when you have a camera body with af engine. It is recommended to always carry the hood with you as it suffers enough from parasitic lights. It loses sharpness at the edges. Low weight even if made of metal

Pros: SMALL AND COMPACT WITH 62 FILTERS THAT IT SHARES WITH 20 2.8 AND WITH THE 60 2.8 MICRO AND WITH THE 28-105 3.5-4 FRANK IN EXECUTION AND WITH THE RIGHT FOCAL COLOR AND BLURRED ILLUSTRATION

Cons: BACKLIGHT BUT RESOLVES FOR 80% WITH THE HOOD

Opinion: SOLID OPTICS BUILT VERY WELL PITY THAT THERE ARE MANY COPIES WITH THE CENTRAL DOUBLE OBFUSCATED WITH DETACHMENT OF THE BALM I HIGHLY RECOMMEND I HAD MANY COPIES EVEN THE FIRST I USED IT WITH BLOCKED APERTURE BUT ALREADY IT WAS VERY SATISFACTORY THEN WITH A WORK WORTHY OF THE FRANCHESTIN FROM TWO WE MADE A PERFECT ONE REPLACING THE CENTRAL DOUBLET THAT WAS BLURRED .... THEN SOLD AND BOUGHT BACK... I HOPE IT IS NOW FINAL....

Pros: Colors, f2.8 to all focal points, robustness/solidity, possibility of transformation into lens "macro" to 35mm, flare.

Cons: Construction defects, sharpness at the edges especially at TA, flare, front lens that rotates in the maf.

Opinion: Slow that networkse images with the most pasty and less contrasted colors, tending to the heat (very pleasant in some cases). The use of circular polarizing filters is not prohibited, they simply need to be recalibrated when moving the maf, especially when the subject's distance from one maf and the next varies greatly. My specimen (non-D version) was prone to lens opacity, diaphragms > 4 the thing was not noticed, but at 2.8 it almost seemed to have a mattifying mask on the rest of the photo that also dampened the colors as well as clearly sharpness. Vulnerability to flare is indeed a problem in some cases but in others it makes the composition non-trivial and absolutely creative. In fact, the flare it generates (especially without a lampshade) is not incisive or said in a word "ugly" (like those lenses that make the sun all in pointed rays), but it leads to a loss of gradual and nuanced contrast. If your specimen does not have the original Hb-1 lampshade you can find it on e-bay, where the original is equal but plastic at 5 degrees, since the originals travel on 30 degrees.
